“Beautiful home and gracious innkeeper!”

My husband and I spent my birthday in Wilmington this past weekend. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Taylor House Inn. Scott (the owner) made amazing breakfasts each morning....sweet potato pancakes with yummy apples and vegan french toast with cranberry syrup...yum yum!!!! The home was immaculate and very comfortable. We enjoyed early morning runs and walking to dinner each night. We stayed in the Peace Room...it's very roomy and was perfect for our stay. Thank you Scott...we will be back very soon!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful...I believe he has three with queens and two with king beds.

“Your concern about B&Bs is unfounded here”

My wife and I spent two nights at the Taylor House in late December and we highly recommend it. The house itself is something to see- a late Victorian, somewhat brooding, with lovely appointments and immaculate maintenance. I found the inkeeper engaging, very helpful and honest with his opionions. (He hinted that the Tallian production of The Full Monty was vulgar. After seeing it, I agee with his opinion.) The breakfast menus were more than we expected- imaginative and served with panache. The inn is only a block or so from The Bellamy Mansion, long a port of call for me. I wish Scott and his family a prosperous new year.

Room Tip: The number of bed pillows is more than adequate. I prefer down pillows to rubber. Given health requ...

“Wonderful stay on our anniversary!!!”

We spent the last few days with Scott and Karen and have to say this was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The house was extremely charming, Scott could not have been more friendly and his cooking, holy cow! Our breakfast both days was outstanding!!!! My wife said our eggs this morning were probably the best she has ever eaten. We would recommend staying at the Taylor House to anyone and everyone. We will definitely be going back the next time we stay in Wilmington! Thank you Scott and Karen for helping to make our 10th anniversary special!!!!

“Lovely Experience”

Traveling with other couples this, B & B was perfect. Our rooms were all across the hall from each other and we felt like we had the house to ourselves. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the house itself was so inviting. We sipped the best brewed tea I have had in ages on the front porch swing in the absolute most quaint neighborhood. It is just the right distance from the downtown epicenter to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep and still close enough to walk everywhere you want to go. The check-out was a bit earlier than typical so, just plan accordingly.

“In my mind I'm going to Carolina!”

I'm not an American, but I've been one, at Taylor House.
I've stayed in this hystorical house and I felt like in a Walt Whitman's poem, or in a sort of "Gone with the wind" environment. And I was Red.
Everything is so fine: the marvellous breakfast (The owner, Scott, is a master cook), the so refined and romantic rooms, the veranda with rocking chairs!

Superplace.
