I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We have received several comments about the new Holiday Inn bedding package provided at our hotel. Did you know these items are also available for sale online?
We appreciate your positive feedback, and look forward to having you stay with us again soon next time you are in Wilmington.

“Eh, it was ok”

Lindsey at the front desk was VERY VERY helpful. I wish I could say the same for April, who seemed to have an attitude when I requested 2 extra pillows because, as she said, "I'll have to go to the 5th floor to get them". My housekeeper did an awesome job cleaning my room, but she did not speak english. None of the housekeepers spoke english so it was a little hard for my husband to tell her that she had done a great job. Luckily, I am hispanic and was able to speak with her. The room was basic at best. This place is great for just a brief stay. The pool looked dirty and the hot tub was out of order, which sucked for me because I had a horrible backache and would've loved to soak in there.

Thank you for your kind words and your recent response. It's only through your comments that we can improve. We are fortunate to have people like LIndsey and a housekeeping department that values hotel cleanliness. Since your stay, we have addressed concerns in the swimming pool area and hot tub to add additional value to our hotel. Thank you again for staying with us - we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

“Stay here every month, awesome place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

Stay here at least once a month. Staff is very nice and the hotel is comfortable. Internet is fast. Close to the beach and downtown. The bar is nicely stocked and the priority club reception Mon-Thurs is a lot of fun. Indoor pool is open year round.

“Busy street, but wonderful restaurant”

Though the check in staff (Larry, always Larry, a.m. and p.m.) is always under-staffed, they still manage to smile, smile, smile. The rooms are clean and unremarkable, with the typical upgrades (granite in the bathroom, curved shower rod, etc). Fridge and micro in room. As an 'older' traveller, I don't love the giant mirrors that face the tub, ever!
Downstairs is where this place shines. An above average breakfast hot hotel buffet adn a restaurant staff that is willing to please. Come by at night and meet Max the bar tender for and entertaining drink. There's a two-for-one drink coupon when you check in. I was hoping for a little better grade of wine and tequila, but I'm snobby that way.
This hotel is reasonably priced and about 15 minutes from Wrightsville Beach and some great sea food restaurants...and right across the street is Hironomous Seafood...don't miss it!

Room Tip: Market St is busy- ask for a rm at end of hall (and alias the elevators, but worth it) Careful; they...

“Good for one night!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

We stayed here for one night before a week at Oak Island. Room was standard. They did give us drink vouchers when we checked in along with free breakfast vouchers for the next morning. The breakfast staff was very unfriendly and slow, but the food was really good. We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express, but would return to this hotel. It was in a good location - close to downtown, restaurants, shops, etc. Only negative point was the breakfast staff.
