“Wonderful weekend getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Paula and Steve were wonderful hosts. They provided my wife and i with recommendations on things to do downtown. The breakfast was outstanding. The Tuscany room was very comfortable and clean. We felt more like a guest in their home than a customer in a busy hotel. Coffee was ready outside our room every morning. And the B&B was within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, shops, and parks. We will definitely be staying here again!

“Love this B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My husband & I and our dog stayed here just this past weekend, and we cannot wait to go back! WE all ,including our dog Leonidas just loved it. Perfect location, you can walk to the shops, pubs, riverfront..the rooms are cozy and quaint. Steve & Paula are soooo sweet and just will go above and beyond for you to accomodate you. The breakfasts are AMAZING! Paula's ice tea is so good. Would HIGHLY recommend this place especially if you have dogs. Their dogs Sparky and Pico were just too cute and friendly. We loved this place and cannot wait to go back! :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Henry room, we loved it.

“Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

If you're looking for the perfect place to stay, this is it. It's a charming B&B with equally charming hosts, Paula and Steve. Located in downtown historic Wilmington, it's a short walk to the waterfront, shopping, dining and attractions. It's tucked away on a beautiful side street and has lovely gardens as well as a large front porch equipped with a super comfortable hammock and lots of seating for relaxation. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with an elegant yet cozy feel. Breakfasts are a culinary delight and the owners have no problem catering to special diets and tastes. An additional bonus - pets are welcome. If desired, you just might be able to entice resident pup Sparky to warm your feet while dining.....we truly felt most welcome and pampered and will most definitely return as soon as possible.

“Great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

This was our first visit to Wilmington and the Camilla Cottage, and will certainly not be our last. We arrived at the Camilla on Christmas eve with a wonderful welcome from the Camilla's Vice President of Hospitality - Four Legged Group, Sparky. Sparky is Steve and Paula's gentle and friendly dog, and really knows how to welcome his guests (both two and four legged). After a nice visit with Sparky, we enjoyed an equally warm welcome from Paula and Steve.

Everything at the Camilla was top notch, from the wonderful breakfast (Paula even made a special and delicious gluten free breakfast for one of us) to the nicely appointed rooms to the hospitality provided by Paula, Steve, and Sparky. The location of the Camilla was perfect, and is an easy walk to the riverfront and the downtown shops and restaurants. The Inn is located in a very nice area, and we enjoyed lovely morning walks with our dog.

A truly lovely experience, and we will be back.

“Recent Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

My wife and I stayed the first weekend of 2012. The home was very well decorated and tasteful, preserving both the time period of the home, but many modern conviences. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and we talked with them and other guests well after breakfast and could have longer. Both were well traveleld and had many great experiences. The food was excellant!. The rooms were spacious and we enjoyed the gas logs, esp in the morning as a cold front moved in. The owners noted that the air/heat was a bit old and they were having some issues with it and it was rather chilly in the AM, but the gas logs helped. It did not put us off at all to considering returning. We would go back and highly recommend this B&B!. Thanks for a great stay and great food, company!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Tuscan Room, but the others on the 2nd floor we saw very nice as well....
