An overpriced hotel. We stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday. I selected it because all rooms were suites, complete with a separate sleeping area, living room and kitchenette. Upon arrival, noticed the room and furnishings were average, almost a little out of date but acceptable. All rooms have a balcony with a good view of the Battleship and Coast Guard station. Hotel is right next to Cotton Exchange and other fun places. Wireless network in room kept giving us problems. Had to call the front desk twice with no resolution. Heating/AC system wasn't working so thank goodness the outside temp was comfortable. Tech came to look at the AC thermostat and said he could come back to work on it further...never showed up. Even though this is "part" of the Hilton across the street, you are basically on your own. Had the feeling throughout my stay that we were the outcasts versus those staying in the Hilton. No continental breakfast, no bar, no restaurant, no pool, no room service. Parking cost $9 per day. Overall, the room was ok but too pricey...price should have been around $100 per night instead of $140. If you only want a basic room with a view and don't plan to spend much time in it, this hotel may work for you, but next year we'll spend a few dollars more and get a suite or junior suite at the Hilton across the street which has full service with all the amenities.
PROS: Suite with separate bedroom, Kitchenette, Balcony view, Quiet area,
Located in good shopping area. CONS: Too pricey, Poor internet service, Some appliances didn't work or were outdated, No pool, gym, bar or room service, No continental breakfast, Poor overall service.
