We took a one night trip from Raleigh to the beach for Thanksgiving. It's such a hassle to board a dog for one night over Thanksgiving (you usually wind up paying for many extra nights boarding due to pick up schedules) so we wanted to bring our 55 pound dog with us. Even though the website indicates dogs must be 30 pounds or less, a pre-reservation call to the motel approved our dog. We were given a room at the end of the hall on the first floor near an exit door. This worked very well for easy exit for walking the dog. Our stay was very quiet, there are grassy areas around the motel to walk the dog, the complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise and had a good variety, instant oatmeals, heat and eat sausage biscuit, waffles cooked fresh on the grill, fruit, boiled eggs, coffee, tea and more. We had a pleasant breakfast and then went for a run in the Turkey Trot in Wrightsville Beach which is only ten minutes away. BTW, dogs were even welcome in the run (no entry fee for them).
Room Tip: All rooms seem quiet since it's off the highway.
