“Great Experience”

We called and spoke to Richard and received a rate below the website's published rates. The location is fantastic - in the heart of downtown, waliking distance to shops, restaurants and clubs. We appreciated the free off street parking as parking is a nightmare in downtown Wilmington on weekends. We stayed in the Pearl Buck suite and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere and attitude at the inn is relaxed and extremely friendly. Breakfast was buffet style with many selections and quiche as a hot entree one day and a casserole the next.

“Great location in Wilmington”

My husband and I recently visited the Front Street Inn to celebrate our 1yr anniversary. This place is located in a great location in downtown Wilmington. It is on the edge of Front Street so it isn't loud, but you are steps away from great restaurants and bars.

The breakfast they serve in the morning is delicious. We were able to sit in the sunroom and enjoy a beautiful morning.

“Great ambience, great people, great location”

My fiance and I wanted to spend a few days away before he deployed and I chose this place based on the location and other reviews. And it did not disappoint! Beautiful rooms in a beautiful, very conveinant, part of town. We decided to book a last minute massage and the staff was able to accomodate us and we didn't even need to leave the hotel. I'd highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away!

“Great to have found this delightful inn!”

My husband and I stayed here on Memorial Day weekend. We chose it for its close proximity to where I was having a musical performance. Everything in the downtown area is walkable from here, so this location is optimal. It was so nice to see there was a small parking area, as it looked as if parking is at a premium here in Wilmington in this part of town. Upon entering this inn, you feel as if you have left all your cares outside. The decor is upscale--which was a refreshing change from many of the B & B's we have experienced in the south that have frilly, ruffly, country type of decor. We were comfortable with the owners, who were very hospitable upon our arrival, and who explained with maps where we could find good restaurants. Our room was very elegant, although there was one little issue with no window covering on the top part of the window. At night the street lights were bright and the amount of light coming into the room was kind of uncomfortable. (Our room faced the street) If they fixed that little flaw, the room would have been perfect. (This is why I did not give it five stars--) Our stay was over a holiday weekend and many people were out partying, and this was going on until the wee hours of the morning... naturally this made sleep next to impossible. (Front Street is a busy thoroughfare) This was only on Saturday night, however. The following two nights of our stay were quiet. The owners were very apologetic about the noise outside on that one night, but there is really nothing they can do about it! The breakfasts are very cozy, and there is a nice selection of cereals or home made quiche, bacon, etc. There is also a little bar where you can get drinks (water, wine, etc) and pay for whatever you buy on the honor system. We were very impressed and so happy that our stay was pleasant. If we go back to Wilmington, we will stay here again.

Loved it! Food was great, room was very nice and clean, everything was thought of! Very close to water front and all restaurants and bars downtown. Would recommend to anyone who likes romantic bed and breakfasts in a great downtown location. Breakfast was excellent!
