We stayed at the Wilkesboro Holiday Inn Express for one night, as part of our drive south on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Frankly, we were pretty disappointed with the hotel. Overall, the lobby and breakfast room were in worse shape than basically all of the Holiday Inn Express hotels we know. We had booked a non-smoking room. When we checked in and got up to our room, non-smoking signs were in fact on the corridoor as well as on the door to the room. Still, our room evidently *was* a smoking room, since you could tell from the smell. Front desk gave us a different room right away so that was OK. During breakfast, people walked around barefooted and in shorts even though there was a sign up that asked for proper clothing. Overall, this is a place I don't recommend unless you have no choice.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. There was no indoor pool, which was a little disappointing, but the breakfast made up for it. Centrally located, so you're near all the restaurants and shopping.

Really nice Hotel. Clean. Superb service thanks to Rita who was efficient and helpful. Walmart, Gas and many Fast Food joints within walking distance. Not too far from the blue ridge parkway. Hotels a bit dated but our room was okay. Clean and crisp sheets, clean bathroom. Carpets don't stink. Microwave and Fridge in king non smoking room. Free Wifi from the rooms.

Attended a meeting in one of their conference rooms last week. The grounds were very well kept, common areas were immaculate. Some of the friendliest staff ever encountered. Every single staff member greeted and/or spoke to me, including front desk staff, maintenance, housekeeping even though I was not an acutal paying customer. I'll definitely consider staying here, if the need arises.
