We were traveling from NY to FL and got stuck in so much traffic on the way down we got into the area about 9PM! We should have been in SC but you cant help traffic.
We picked up those books you find visitor center and found locations in the area. Almost all the others in the area were booked solid, I personally have not booked a hotel that less then a 4 star, say I am spoiled by suites and resorts lol.
But for a short stay, over night, it was fine. There was 4 of us, two adults and two kids. We got a room on the second flood in the 3rd building. Which was a pain with no elevator. The total cost was about $75. The room itself was rather large with two double beds. The room was hot, the AC was not on at all. The bathroom was small and you can tell the carpets were not fully cleaned. They give you coins to access the ice machine which is found in the other buildings. It was pretty quiet and fine for the overnight, the room really did get cold overnight so we were glad the AC was working fine.
In the AM we had to walk back to the first building to find the continental breakfast. It had muffins, bagels, cereals and coffee. It seemed the employee was a little annoyed having to run the front desk and refill the muffins at the same time. It was not a great breakfast but held us over till lunch time. The employee on the night shift was really great!
