We stayed here on our way south. We paid about 74.00 for the room, which while checking in, we felt was ok for a room just as a stop over. However, while the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was AWFUL. It was a kitchenette, and it looked like it was about 30 years old and run down. Cleanliness was also a big issue for me, as I felt like I should shower just having been in the room. I sucked it up and stayed the night but that will be the last Econo Lodge stay for me ever.
On the way home back north, we stayed in the Comfort Inn just up the road for just $5 more, and it was INCREDIBLE in all ways..... IMMACULATE, GORGEOUS, UP-TO-DATE and was unbelievably CLEAN! This was a close/even hotel stay with our last in a MARRIOTT! Even provided free wireless internet plus many other ammenities!
My suggestion to you, skip the shabby room here and pay the $5 more and go to the Comfort Inn, or anywhere else for that matter.
