On the way south we stopped to visit the town I was born in but did not live there. Felt very comfortable from the minute we contacted Merrie. Merrie and Dave were very very gracious hosts and the Inn was a beautiful old restored Victorian house but with very comfortable
amenities.

If I wanted to paint a picture of a southern, tree-shaded front porch, the light hearted banter of two young fishermen sitting on the wooden steps arguing about how big the fish was that got away, neighbors sauntering by, smiling as they waved a friendly ‘hello,’ that would only be the beginning of the picture I would paint of Merrie and Dave’s Forever Inn. Homespun southern hospitality at its best…

Me and my husband Dave happened upon this wonderful Inn during a visit to North Carolina to look for a new home. We have heard about "Southern Hospitality" but couldn't imagine it would be so true. Dave and Merrie are welcoming and warm and make you feel right at home the minute you walk through the door. The Inn is not only beautiful but clean as well. And let's not even begin to talk about the wonderful breakfast!!! We didn't want to leave but sadly had to, it is one of those Inns where you will return again and again I promise you that.

We stayed at the Forever Inn Easter Weekend, 2009. Our criteria was 'less than a two-hour drive and $XX.XX or less per night,'. We loved our visit! The home is beautifully appointed without feeling overdone like some older homes can. Our room was airy and extremely comfortable. Our private bath was a mini-sanctuary! There are several fun shops within walking distance. Breakfast was a delight! The owners were completely accomodating; I feel like we made lifelong friends. In fact, when we returned home yesterday, I felt like we should call them to let them know we had arrived home safely! We will definitely be back!
