“Picturesque and relaxing!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We had previously travelled across the US in an RV and had good memories of KOA campgrounds. This time we were travelling and staying in motels and hotels but this particular night we decided to have a change and we booked a cabin at this campsite.
Location was beautiful especially with the Fall leaves everywhere.
The cabin was small; just beds but it was cozy and had character. It was warm and comfortable. The beds were a bit hard but bearable. Linen was provided for a minimal cost. The restroom facilities were okay but the private showers were brilliant.
The whole park had a nice feel and the staff were very welcoming.
Would love to come back with an RV one day.
Recommend it.

“Worth your time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

This campground is definitely worth a visit. The campground is well laid out with mostly paved roads. The facilities are clean and the staff was welcoming. The train did come by a couple of times during the night but that didn't keep my family awake. My 3 year old loved both of the playgrounds and she always seemed to have a friend to play with. We met some awesome people and had a great time. Will plan another visit. I can't speak for the cabins but I did hear from someone else who was staying in the cabins that do not have facilities and she mentioned the one her family was in was a little on the small side.

“Beautiful Campground”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

My fiancee and I stayed here in August 2011 for 3 nights in the "Kamping Lodge", it was perfect! We booked under a special that was buy 2 nights stay the 3rd for free which was a great deal! the lodge looked just like the pictures on the website, there was a small gas range, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster in the kitchen, seperate bedroom, bunkbeds in the hallway, and a futon and small tv with cable in the "living room". The cabin was very clean when we arrived the only complaints are, the resevoir which holds the water in the coffee pot was quite dirty and hard to clean, and the bed in the bedroom was very uncomfortable..but it's better than sleeping in a tent on the ground!

“So nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

A very nice campground. This was our first KOA experience and it was just fine. All employees were helpful and courteous. Restrooms/showers were excellent and very clean. On the morning of checkout it was pouring down rain and we were not rushed out of the campground. In other words, we dodged showers and took out time (past checkout time) to pack up. We can't say that would be the case all of the time due to previous reservations.
Our only complaint and it really isn't any ones fault are the No see ums in the Small Lake area where we camped. We got many bites and first thought it was mosquitoes. Other campers informed us that out bites were not due to mosquitoes but they were from No see ums! Don't know if other areas in the campground have the same problem, but if you stay around the Little Lake...bring some sort of bug lotion/spray. Have fun at this clean and well managed campground.

“Nice Campground”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

We just stayed for the first time Labor Day weekend. The campground was nice ,spots a little too close together. The bathrooms was very clean. The only complaint I had was they charged $5 for each adult above 2....My son & his wife went with us and they charged $33 for the spot & $30 extra for 2 more adults, they were only 4 people on our site. I did not think that was right,so we paid $129 for 3 nites for 4 adults, pretty high for a family campground....I called & talked to manager & she said the sites were for 2 adults & 2 kids, pardon me but that's 4 people....oh & let me tell you the train comes by about 5 times a nite, & kept us up everytime it went through, so if your a lite sleeper don't camp here. Don't think we'll go back, said they were all kinds of fish in ponds didn't catch a thing....but it was a clean campground......
