My wife and I stayed at this out-of-the-way bed and breakfast back in 2007. We always compare other stays at other places to this experience. We've been lucky so far in our transition into the B & B culture, but not so much with this one. It was nice enough and has the potential to be perfectly quaint and enjoyable. Unfortunately, we still remember what we don't like about it. Most of our criticism centers around the effort put out by the innkeepers or whomever it was that was taking care of the place for them. There wasn't much effort at all. We dealt mostly with a pleasant enough but preoccupied staff gal (not preoccupied by guest needs) and experienced a couple of pretty lame attempts at breakfast. I want to say they had heated up frozen french toast sticks for breakfast. No, I'm sure of it. The staff gal made sure to reinforce the feeling of high-living by bringing out the food in her big, fuzzy bedroom slippers. This place could do really well if they just put a little more effort into making guests feel special--the hallmark of any great bed and breakfast! It has been a while so perhaps things have improved. Staff changes can make a world of difference.
