Used to absolutely love this place. Very nicely renovated 100 year old inn with luxurious spacious rooms with all the modern conveniences. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
However, on our last visit it became apparent that this place has lost its identity. They now focus on drawing large crowds with live music on the weekends, i.e. a nightclub. The band was great but not outside of our room. This is a small and quaint place so no matter which room you are in you are going to hear the band and crowd like they were in your room. The band played until midnight and the bar was open until 2 AM with a very loud crowd. We didnt get to sleep until 3 AM! Quite frustrating when you pay $300/night for a quiet weekend. They did give us a $100 credit on our bill for the trouble. However, it was clear this was a common problem as some of the waitresses warned us that it would be quite loud in our room and appeared to be apologizing in advance. I've also noticed one other review on this site that describes an earily similar experience. If you want to stay up late partying with live music this place will be great for you. But if you want a quiet getaway this is not it. They should just be upfront with people when they make their reservation.
In the end it just doesn't seem possible to have a quaint inn and a nightclub on the same property. Its unfortunate because this place has so much potential. Its also inconsiderate to mislead the guests. They should change the name from Jefferson Inn to Jefferson Nightclub.
