After staying in several hotels in the area this hotel was suggested to me by a friend. I was staying in the area for several weeks for work. When you pull into the microtel its grounds are friendly and astetically pleasing. The lobby area is laid out a little small and strange but other than that the common areas are decent. The staff at the hotel are friendly and very eager to please. Once your inside you will get the wrong impression of the accomodations from the hallways they have an odd old, sweaty smell that leaves you hoping the rooms arent the same. You will be pleasantly suprised once you check out the rooms. Large rooms, larger then most, clean and well decored. White spreads and linens, daybed for reading by the window and moderate work area. Plenty of open room and very inviting atmosphere. The entire back wall of the room is mirrored which to me gave the rooms a more open and cheery feeling. Their were only two problems I had with the rooms. First they dont offer shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom and since I spend days away from home I tend not to carry these so they dont leak into my suitcase. This was a little inconvient. Secondly, I found the televisions to be small, old and oddly placed. The tvs are in the corner above the closet and are a little difficult to see. They would benefit by upgrading to more easily situated flat screens. The only other issue I found was the hotels minimul continental breakfast, could be much better but something is better then nothing. This is a great little hotel. Plenty of food around the area in walking distance, a few bars and a price that especially in this area cant be beat. For us at 49.99 a night Ill definately stay here again.
