We were staying at this hotel on our way to Hilton Head, SC... I booked my stay through Expedia.. The day that we arrived I knew that we would be arriving around midnight and I called to be sure there would be no problem with our arrival. I was advised that they were expecting us and our room would be ready for us. We did, indeed, arrive just after midnight and the new front desk person could not find my reservation and said that she had nothing available. I asked her to please look again, and she said that we were booked for the next day.. I showed her my confirmation from my on-line booking. She then stated that she could only put me in a king room and someone could sleep on a roll away... I advised her that I was traveling with two teenagers ( one 18 year old girl and a 16 year old son) and a husband with Rheumatoid arthritis and I had booked a room with two queens. She told me she couldn't put us in a room with two queens because what was left was dirty because housekeeping didn't clean them. I began to get a bit angry because we were tired and just wanted to go to bed. I asked her is there was anyway to put us in two rooms, since they had no proper room available (despite the fact that I was told just 5 hours ago that our room was available and waiting). She said I would have to pay for two rooms... I told her that I needed beds, not rollaways since I would sleep with my daughter and my husband would sleep with our son. She said that wasn't possible and if I "demanded" the two beds that I would have to pay for it! In the end, my son slept on the floor and my daughter slept on the couch because my husband (who has severe arthritis) and I slept in the only bed they made available to us. Terrible customer service!!!!! Bad breakfast!!! Dirty shower!!!! It couldn't have got any worse, and I couldn't wait to get out of there the next morning. We stayed a total of 9 hours and it was awful from start to finish!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is extremely convenient! We were close to restaurants, shopping and historic downtown Salisbury. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hot breakfast was nice to wake up to as well.

My husband and I checked in for one night. We had a king bed on the third floor. The bathroom was clean and large. The mattress and bedding and overall room condition seemed clean. The air condition gave us trouble at night. I called the front desk and they made a suggestion and it worked again. However, the next morning, the AC went out again and did not come back on. Thank goodness we only were here one night. I reported it to the front desk as I checked out. The breakfast was better than most...scrambled eggs, ham, hot biscuits, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, muffins and danish, fresh made waffles, apple and orange juice, milk, and coffee. My biggest complaint is the cost....with tax I paid $141.00 for one night in this little no nothing town. I checked on the internet again and the same room was going for less. I think they change their prices based on what is happening. Apparently the weekend we stayed there was a race going on. This was definitely not worth the money. It is convenient to where we needed to be. I only half-heartedly recommend this hotel. They need to get rid of the smoke smell, update the rooms and old smelly carpet, and make sure AC is working and think about more reasonable rates!

Desk clerk checked us in without realizing that we had reservation under wife's name instead of mine. After we get home had unexpected charge for not canceling the room we thought we had reserved and occupied. Manager, refused to refund amount and insulted me and my wife over the phone. Could not pay me to stay here again. To add insult to injury were there for funeral of my wife's Aunt.
