This was our 3 rd long weekend at Pinebrae and we have looked forward to our stay more & more each year. The owners, Charlotte & Allen are very nice and the whole area makes us feel very comfortable. Good conversation at the breakfast table also. After this trip we have decided to purchase land and in the near future - 3 to 5 years - plan to "retire" in Rutherfordton.
The B & B itself is NOT a Holiday Inn. TV is limited, and just relaxation is the order of the day. I don't even get a newspaper while there - a good book does just fine.
The breakfast is great and a wonderful way to start your day - but you will need to "hike around" to burn off the Eggs Benedict! Not for everyone but if you want "peace & quiet" it works at Pinebrae.
The area offers beautiful sights with mountains and lakes and good food is easy to find.
