Recently spent a week in Adelaide and surrounds and during that time spent three nights at the Barossa Motor Lodge in Tanunda. Paid more for this accommodation than other places in Adelaide and Glenelg and it was by far the poorest standard. Firstly it is located a number of kilometers from Tanunda and as for walking to wineries you would have to be joking. The standard of the rooms is fairly basic. The air conditioner sounds like an aeroplane taking off and the room is not sound proof. I could hear the children next door as well as the outside noise. The food from the restaurant was disgusting. Also i paid for wireless internet that kept droping out of service and when i told management their was no suggestion of a refund. They mentioned other people had the same problem.
The one positive thing i would say about the motor lodge is that the staff are lovely. They were very helpful when i asked for advice and were always very friendly.
However the motor lodge is over priced and presents a very average standard.
