After a four and half hour drive to Tanunda, we were welcomed by the very friendly staff at Barossa Motor Lodge. This had been recommended to us by friends that had stayed there previously. Managers were very obliging in giving us ideas of what to do and where to go during our stay.
Rooms were quite comfortable, bed was great and air con was awesome. After our tiring days checking out the Valley, it was a nice place to head back and stay.
Meals in the restaurant were cooked just as our family liked.
Would definately stay here again.

Husband suffered an electric shock had to ring owners then maintenance guy asked if we had a torch so he could switch the power back on, no lighting outside to see, had to replace door knob as key would not open door this took 3/4 of an hour to do. Rooms are very outdated, no bedside lights worked, a very dissapointing stay for a major SA Tourist area. Maintenace needs to be done ASAP for safety reasons. I could post many other issues that are of concern. Electrical work needs top priority and lighting outside of rooms need to be on at night so guests do not fall and can see to open door. A very dissapointing stay.

It is what it is - a tired old motel desperately in need of a makeover.
There are much better places in the Barossa, and if they had had vacancies I would not have been staying here.
The aircon kept me awake all night and the tv was old and restricted to basic channels.
And there was no wifi.
On the upside the service was good, and the hotel staff quite willingly held some goods in storage for a few days which I had sent over for a conference.

Stayed 1 night on our ticky tour around south Australia. It was our 1st night in s.a. The Room was dinghy because of low energy bulbs, or to try and hide stains on sofa. Definately due for refurb. Recepionist very nice and helpful. Dinner o.k.
