My wife and I stayed in a king room here in July 2006. The "honeymoon" room with hottub was very spacious, with amenities like couch, microwave and refrigerator. The price for all this, with breakfast was very reasonable. The bathroom looked a little aged, but otherwise the whole facility was in good shape. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby at the South of the Border.
I stopped here on a road trip from PA to Florida and would not choose this place again. It was shabby and not very clean. The breakfast was below average and the staff was not friendly. The whole area (South of the Border) has seen better days.

Stayed here on the way to Virginia. The exit is not so hot,because tacky South of the Border is nearby. The Holiday Inn Express,however, makes the stay worthwhile. The room was clean,extremely large, and comfortable.The mattresses were nice and firm and the pillows were not wafer thin. Of course, the breakfast was delicious, especially the cinnamon rolls.Staff also was very helpful and accommodating.
