Room was dated but reasonably clean. King bed was hard and uncomfortable. Toaster supplied but no plates, bowls, cutlery etc - even though staff were happy to supply these items, I had to chase staff to obtain what I needed - really should have been supplied in the first place.
Dinner at the restaurant was a disappointment and overpriced.
Filet steak was okay but veggies weren't very imaginative or inspiring - had much better meal for less - we expected restaurant quality and got a not so good pub meal.
WiFi not included in cost - $4 for one hour.
Management were very pleasant and attentive but on the whole I wouldn't recommend - $110.00 was definitely overpriced for what we got - will look elsewhere when we travel through next year.

My wife and I stayed here 17 to 21 Oct '11, as members of a tour group.
We found "mine hosts" and the entire staff, courteous, helpful and efficient, each in their own way helping to make our stay memorable.
Being situated where it is, the Motel is ideally situated to be used as a base to explore the many attractions the area offers, and if you're a golfer the course is over the road.
The highlight of our stay was a Whale Watch excursion, but this in no way diminishes the pleasure derived from visits to the other spots of interest - both local and further afield.
After each day's activities it was great to return to the facilities of the Coachman's Rest, partake of "whistle- wetter" before dinner, then partake of a top class meal in their dining area - a recommended resting place during your travels and with plenty of parking.

The rooms were rather old but nevertheless I found the beds comfortable and clean and that is why I stay in a motel - to sleep well. The price was reasonable and the restaurant was fabulous. You won't starve here as I have never seen such a big or thick fillet steak. Good wine list for a motel of this standard to go with the excellent food. Staff were extremely friendly.

This has to be the worst motel we have ever stayed in. Even by motel standard, this bad !
Do not be deceived by the front nor the fresh coat of yellow paint on the outside walls. The rooms must not have been updated since the 70's ! Ours was 3 shades of maroon with vastly curtains. The bathroom sink is in the room which just adds to the depressing atmosphere of the room. The place was also filthy. Hair in the bath/shower, cracked tiles. Horrid. Now to top it all the night was 200$, we had no choice. It was late, all other places were full and the kids had just had enough of the road. We did not even try breakfast !
We left at 6 am ! Bottom line don't stop there period
