“Good location - shame about the resort and pervy blokes !!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2009

what can i say - the apartment was fab for what we paid it was in a really good location however PAY FOR A SEA VIEW!!! if you dont you will overlook a dodge side alley and bins and you will get the most pathetic balcony going !!!! it was clean and tidy so you could not really expect more only down side they do not provide a kettle so if you want a coffee in the AM you need to boil in a saucepan!!

the resort itself was extremelly over priced for food and drink (costa del sol/ Dorada much cheaper!!)

If girls are travelling out of season on their own/with friends i really would not recommend unless you like to be groped and touched up every corner you turn (seriously no joke - EVERY CORNER!!!!) it was flattering from the first bloke on the first day but every 5 mins it gets a bit to much and makes you feel a bit un-easy.

be carefull when you go to the clubs i had my drink spiked and was in a real mess and could have landed myself in a lot of trouble thankfully i got away from there before i completly loss all sense in my legs ( thank god i have good friends)

i think the resort is a lot better in high season May-Oct but this time of year its completly vile !!!!!!

“What can u expect for £180??”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2009

Well me and 2 others stopped at the Allmirall Apartments in Sept 08'.

We payed £180 for flights accomadation the lot and i cant really complain for the amount of money spent.

I'll give a few bad points;-
Dont be fooled by the beach, it may look sandy and lush but low and behold it is acually loads of tiny little pebbles, which absolutly killed me to walk across! no sand what-so-ever!
The manager of this accomedation is quite rude and arrogant, maybe because we were typical 18 year olds coming in at all hours in the morning, and the first night we dove into the KILLER waves at the beach, seriously so powerful you feared for your life! but it was all fun!so anyways i dont think he took to kindly to 3 of us dripping the small pebbles all over the place!
There also was no maid and we asked for 1 more toilet roll and we were sorta frowned upon for asking and we didnt get fresh towels unless we asked for them, and even when we asked it didnt come for a good couple of hours!
Oh and also when your out in the strip(which is acually round the corner-AMAZING!) you litrally have to make NO EYE CONTACT TO ANY OF THE REPS because before you know it your are litrally dragged into bars and find your self in the V.I.P sections of everything where drinks are EXPENSIVE! i think it was €30 for 2 Vodka redbull and a bottle of water!!

Now the good points

As i said before you turn a corner and your in anither world for a good 3 miles looking straight up is bars, bars, bars!!
And oposite the hotel there is THE NICEST BEACH BAR!!!
please for the sake of humanity spend the €11 on the super douper douper cocktails they last all night and are the size of an arm u have to stand up to drink them.....amazing!!
and also 5 min taxi ride up the road (if your lazy) is Aqua Land!!! yeyyy!!!! Amazing, €11 all day entrance, caught the best tan there!

All in all what an amazing holiday for £180!!!!!

Julie & Brian, Xmas 2006
Location Excellent.
Booked the best apartment they have, A Mar which caters for 4 persons. The first impression of the common areas are excellent, however, opening the apartment door was like entering another world. These apartments are so basic, we thought we were in Greece. The bedroom is a cupboard with sliding doors. There are wardrobes which can only be opened when the beds are pushed against the opposite wall. The beds are two singles which are so lumpy you wake up stiff. The 'well equipped' kitchen is no better, old fashioned Spain! 2 rings, no oven, but SIX PANS!!!! No kettle. Although soup spoons are provided, there are no soup or cereal bowls at all. My husband had his cereal in an enormous mixing bowl. It was either that or a pan. There is a sofa bed in the lounge, which has seen much better days. You can feel the wooden slats underneath when you sit on it. The sofa bed pulls out and the second person sleeps almost on the floor. The Sat TV is OK if you are French or German and the balcony doors do not lock and are draughty.
The accomodation is very scruffy and after arriving at 1.30am we found that we even had to make the beds, the sheets being left in the kitchen for us. There was no cleaner all week, if you wanted the apartment cleaning there was a charge of 20€, but this did not include the kitchen???? To add insult to injury a note was pushed under the door the day before we left requesting that we clean all the apartment on departure!!!!!

“Great beach location”

The Almirall Apartments were great, lovely and clean, with great beach views, everything is close by and the staff very helpful. We stayed at the start of the season so there was no noise, I cannot comment on what it will be like later on. Recommend using the boats that leave from the beach all day to travel to nearby resorts. The Orient Express just down from the apartment is lovely place to eat.
