“OK - nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

Not a four star hotel, as they claim. Shower curtain says three... Everything else also signals three stars at the most. Hard bed and quite simple rooms. Noise from lobby late at night traveled all the way through staircase, into corridor and into room. Not very peaceful. Otherwise, nothing special, but OK for a one night stay. Lloret de Mar quite deserted in early December, most restaurants closed.

“Very nice hotel with great service”

We stayed here for three nights in October. The room was clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed on an all inclusive basis and were the only guests staying on this board basis, which meant that we were the only ones eating lunch. The hotel provided a large variety of food and even asked us what time we would like to eat.

The bar area was relaxing and comfortable as was the outside area, and it's just a few minutes walk to the beach. The spa facilities were also excellent. For just 5 euros a day you could use the gym, swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. I would definitely return to the Acacias in the future. :)

“No way a 4 star hotel - even the shower curtain knows the truth! Rip off.”

We just got back from a weekend at this hotel and overall we were very disappointed. I don't know if there are new rooms and old rooms in this hotel, but we certainly had an old room (first floor, 110) that was nowhere near being 4 star grade. Even the shower curtain had 3 stars on it (see my photo) - not sure when the hotel was upgraded to 4 star status, but it seems it was a few years ago based on the reviews here! We had a small balcony, but it was so low down you could practically jump in to our room from the street, so we did not use it. There is no outdoor pool, there is a small decking area where you can have a drink. We could not sleep because the entire second floor had a French school trip so the kids were banging away and moving furniture all night long; it really sounded like they were renovating the rooms above us - also the doors to the rooms are paper thin so you can hear each and every single person walking / talking in the corridor - bring some ear plugs! I thought we could get away for a nice weekend in a 4 star hotel with comfy beds, have a nice lie in... we were awake at 7am Sat and Sun mornings with our blood boiling because of the noise from above. I complained to reception, and they did nothing to help.
We had breakfast, and whilst there was a decent variety, the quality was the lowest of the low - hams and cheeses that you would find in a 1 star Spanish hotel, so this was definitely not on par with the '4 star' rating. I would expect a LOT more from a hotel with 4 stars, this was an absolute joke.

The place was clean. Also it is a short walk to the beach and away from the main nightlife in town. These are the plus points.

I would not recommend this place at all - it's one of those hotels where you go to and wonder what on earth it takes for a hotel to get 4 star status. No swimming pool, rubbish food, poor rooms, old furniture...

Room Tip: Do NOT stay on the bottom floors. Try to stay on the top, because you can hear everything happening...

“Unexpected Gem of a place ......”

We (husband and i) were looking for a value all inclusive break, only requisites were sun and sea. Found some pretty dire places advertising and were at the point of giving up when we were directed to this by the girl on the other end of the phone at 'Como Travel'. The other reviews on here are spot on.....the staff were excellent without exception.....accomodation very nice....a lovely small hotel in a resort full of big horrid impersonal places. The food wasnt gourmet but there was plently of choice and we certainly were never hungry.....the resort is full of choice re places to eat out. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the lovely places available to visit around and about - by boat or bus.
Beautiful old town of Tossa.....excellent quiet bays nearer and within waking distance if you dont mind a bit of a trek over the rocky cliffs either side of the main beach at Lloret. Also Lloret beach was one of the cleanest we have been on recently and we have over the years been to many!
So all in all......a very pleasant place for a quiet break (never thought i would say that about Lloret!!)
I would just add that the Disco's and clubs are there in abundance if you want them......

Room Tip: No truly great views due to location in side st.

“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2011

Stayed at the Acacias for 4 night (AI) in April 2011. We read some reviews of this and other hotels in Lloret, and this was the best. We were very pleased with our choice, we had chosen a smaller hotel as we though the service would be better, and we were right. Although there is no real area to sit outside, other than the decking at the back of the bar, we found it to be very pleasant out there. The AI drinks service was exceptional, anything you wanted, Champagne included. The bar staff were very nice and polite, after the first day there were almost getting our drinks as we walked into the bar. The food was not the best we have had in Spain, but more than acceptable, with a reasonable choice. We especially liked the paella and other rice dishes, along with fresh grilled sardines and calamari. The room was very nice and spotless, with a bath as well as a shower. The big surprise was the indoor pool and spa in the basement. The first time we went down and my wife commented that it would probably be cold, however, it was a shock that it was not just warm, but hot, if anything too hot to swim for a long time. In fact the spa was cooler that the pool. We went twice a day for the rest of our hoilday it was so nice, and I guess we were lucky as there was never anyome else in there at the same time as us.
The hotel is in a good position, just a couple of minutes from the sea front and beach. We also went to the large market on Tuesday, which was only about 20 minutes walk away. We will return to this hotel, although they do not offer AI in the peak season, it would not matter. Thanks to Fabian and the team for making our stay comfortable.
