“Lovely quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Lloret”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

Both me and my partner who are in our early 30's travelled to Lloret on 19th Aug 2011 for a weekend. Have to say the hotel is lovely and would definately consider staying again. The hotel is set back from the hustle and bustle of the nightlife, which is good in a way as its a lot quieter than staying in the centre, but saying that, there is a nightclub at the bottom of the street and on the last night we heard the spanish shouting and laughing on top of their voices, which is a pain when youve gone to bed sober. Lol. Roof pool and gardens are well laid out and staff are real nice. The food is ok, but when your there for a weekend who cares if its not 100%, plus theres plenty of restaurants on your doorstep to choose from. Only downfall we had with the hotel is there is no air conditioning, however there is a ceiling fan but when on full power, hardly no breeze comes off and when your staying in the height of summer, air con is definately needed. All in all a lovely hotel and would definately recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 3rd floor wih a balcony.

“great”

book a room on the second or third floor, if you can, otherwise street noises will disturb you. the distance from the sea is ~600mt

“good value but be cautious”

I'd give this 3 stars based mainly on value for money, its roof top terrace and the reception staff. If good and varied food is important then stay away. The main problem was my room. I was travelling alone and was given a hole with a small window and really poor ceiling fan. To make things worse, the window opened on to the air conditioning shafts which blew hot air straight in. I cant comment on the other rooms of course but i would recommend asking to change if you get a dud as there seemed a lot of variation.

The building is charming, the location quiet and the place really clean but remember its cheap for a reason!

“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

Just returned from a week staying at Ninays with my 25 and 27 yr.old daughters for one week.
There were families, young couples, older couples, also staying there.
The hotel is very clean, rooms are basic but clean.Maid service/clean towels daily. Our room was on ground floor backing on to quite a noisy side road used mostly by locals,we didn't get much sleep.

Food was alright, breakfast, bacon, cheese, meats, bread & jam, cereals, tea, coffee and juices. Evening meal was ok, seemed to be lacking in fresh veg.,most nights seemed pretty much the same, we had choice of chips, mash, salad, pasta, rice, fish, sausage, nice braised steak one night, the food could've done with being hotter. Fresh/tinned fruit, rice pud(cold)ice cream.
Our favourite part of the hotel is the roof terrace/pool.There is a small pool, with sun loungers, also shaded areas with tables chairs, there are also beautiful plants/shrubs/flowers.The rooftop area is so relaxing and clean. There's also a bar serving drinks hot/cold.
Inside the hotel, shrubs, plants are everywhere, its really lovely.
Its about ten mins.to beach and shops, bus station.

Our only real complaint is the air con.(or lack of it). A ceiling fan was not at all adequate for the temperature, it was very hot and uncomfortable in our room.

“Fab little boutique/small and friendly hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2010

Myself and 3 friends stayed at the Ninays for 2 nights. Hotel is very clean, rooms are basic but clean, we had a small balcony looking out of the rooftops and side street.

Breakfast is basic but ok, cheese, meats, bread & jam, cereals, tea, coffee and juices.

What makes the hotel extra special and worthy of my high rating is the roof terrace/pool area - WOW!
We were the only guests there all day Friday and it was like having our own little villa. There is a small pool, with about 10 sun loungers, plenty of little cozy corners, tables chairs etc, with beautiful plants/shrubs/flowers etc. Not fantastic views as you can see all the other buildings rooftops, but the whole area of the rooftop is so relaxing, clean and pretty. Inside bar, reasonable prices.

Inside the hotel is hard to describe - spiral staircases, shrubs, plants, little tables tucked away, all very beautiful. Its like having the outside inside! You may get the gist from my photos.
All in all, a fab little relaxing hotel, 5/10 min walk to the chaos of Lloret. Would definitely stay there again.
Wouldn't recommend for stags/hens or young people. Its a more relaxing little hotel.
