poor selection of food,very little entertainment in evenings,unless room overlooks pool and at far end too much noise,disco underneath til 4 am so sleep impossible!!! hotel nice and clean rooms comfortable.staff helpful so problems not fault of staff

I stayed in the Plaza for a week. The strong point of the hotel is absolutely the position.It is in center , 5 min from the beach. They have an outside pool, but we mostly used the inside one, even if is definitely small (very). They say and of Sept., begining od Oct.is still warm in Spain-not true in our case( even if the sun was shining:-)).
Our room had the view on the swiming pool, and was spacious, as well as the bathroom. The building next to the Plaza is spoiling the view and is kind of sad.
Very good breakfast, solid buffet for dinner( not to tasty food, but plenty of choice). They have internet acces, but they also charge it quite a lot.
I was disapointed with the staff. Seemd to me that they didn`t have time for their guests( they were not rude or anything, but not to pleasent ider).
What else to say...it is a solid hotel.

This hotel is situated in the quieter area of Lloret, but is very close to bars and bargain shops. There is a pharmacy right next door. The hotel is not on the beach but is a pleasant stroll away from it. The facilities were excellent, three outdoor pools and one indor with Jacuzzi./spa bath. The meals were splendid on most nights but there were a couple of nights where the food was a bit strange, for instance crisps were served as the main potato dish one evening. The next day, wild trout was on offer so more than made up for the night before. The room was adequate with a nice balcony overlooking the pool and was kept clean, towels were changed most days although this wasn't really necessary and the bed linen was changed midweek. The staff were generally polite and friendly. For what the wife and I paid for this holiday,it was fantastic value for money and maybe we were lucky but there were no embarrasing Brits staying there the same week as us.

ok will try and lay out some plus and minus points. depending on who your going with.
am 30 and went with my girlfriend, so not into 18-30 holidays. lloret de mar has around 20 nightclubs, unfortanly only 1 is english( rockafellers) and there is 1 english bar (queen vic). the hotel was just away from the busy part which was good. only about 8 min walk to the centre. we were the only english in the hotel, which never bothered me. pool area nice. room was good. food was just ok. want 200 metres to the beach, more like half a mile, but pleasent to walk.
transfers, resort hoppa. were good.
ok kept this brief and to the point.
id you liked benidorm you will hate it here as there are no shows, live acts etc just french german young people. you have been warned
