I went to Plaza Paris on a Shearings coach holiday Sunday - Saturday, with my mum & my 2 daughters (age12 &9). Luckily we went just before the school holiday break so my girls had the pool table & games facilities to themselves. The outdoor pool was also empty for those who were brave enough (my girls) to dare splash about in the freezing cold pool!
Hotel itself is situated about 5 mins from beach. It was nice, very clean (cleaners came every day) and staff were friendly enough. We had a room with a pool view (and a dodgy door) on the 2nd floor, but I was told by another Shearings customer on our trip that he was on the 1st floor with roadside view & it was noisy! Only noise we heard was on the Friday night where music from night club was boom boom booming til 4am! Whether it was the same Saturdays I don't know, but I noticed that everything was opening up for the holiday season the day before we were leaving, so whether the night club would've been an every day thing from now on til winter I don't know! The food was average... Not much choice for children and rather repetative, but for the price you can't grumble! There's always a McDonalds, Burger King around to please the kids!
The Beach is a shingle beach but definitely a sun trap... and we walked towards the Castle and beyond to see some lovely views of Lloret de Mar... also 20 minutes walk away is Fenals beach which is also lovely!
I enjoyed my stay here & so did my mum & the children. I think if the kids enjoy the place thats a bonus!
They especially enjoyed Sebastian, Marcel & Gonzalo the bar staff they were friendly and entertained the kids, coz the entertainment was pretty poor... One was a man & woman singing. They sang on the Sunday and again on Thursday. The other was a singing organist & saxophonist who played on Monday & again on Wednesday.... No entertainment on Tuesday or Friday!
Maybe more entertainment when the warmer weather heads in!
Overall we had a pleasant stay!
