We're just back from a 5 night stay at the Cleopatra and i feel i need to tell people about our experience there.
The reception is manned 24hrs with english speaking staff, very easy and quick check in. We were given a room on the 5th floor and told we were high up so we didnt hear any noise, this is not so, music played at the bar till late and then continued on balconies till after 4am.
Hotel was full of groups of german lads, who found it funny to ring our room through the night and ask us silly questions.
The rooms are very, very basic, looked like they hadnt been decorated since the 70's but are cleaned and towels changed every day.
The pool doesnt have a shallow end, so it's no good for children, so we spent most of our time at the beach, (shingle).
We were full board and every meal seemed to cater for the germans. Breakfast was a selection of breads, hams and cheese slices, then some scrammbled egg and hot dog sausages. Lunch was salad, rice or pasta, chips and some meat that was never named so i never knew what it was. And dinner was basically the same as lunch with lunchs' leftovers. No choice for children at all.
Hotel was in a very central position, not far to beach or town centre.
