“Good place for family vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

It was not easy for me to understand how good/bad is this hotel whlie I was reading reviews here. The one thing was obvious - most part of reviews written in 2011 was good. So it gave me hope.
Stayed in Rosamar Garden in the first week of October 2011 and mostly got satisfied. The rooms are small (something about 15 square meters) but very clean. The furniture was new and pretty designed. The bedclothes also was new and very pretty.
The staff spoke all main European languages and was kinldly and attentive. The food and drink for all inclusive was tasty and variable. There was meat (lamb, beef and pork), seafood (prawns, mussels and some tasty shellfishes I could not recognize), paella, vegetables and fruits and even diet menu (without sugar). The only minus for restaurant - the waiters too slow cleaned up the tables, so we needed to wait 10 - 15 minutes before our dirty plates were taken away.
As for the guests - 95 % of them in October were French and German retired at the age 65 - 80. So the hotel can not be recommended for lonely young travelers who desire new meetings and adventures.
The hotel has it's own spa (jacuzzi, hamam, sauna), open swimming pool, and tennis court (all facilitites are free for hotel guests). The sea is in 5 minutes walk distance. The big supermarket is also in 5 minutes distance. The bus terminal and rent-a-car (Sacar is 200 m from bus terminal) can be reached in 15-20 minutes on foot.
The kids club in October was closed - obviously the season finished but our girl of 4 years had no time to dull.

“we loved it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

please note that we went there as a couple and what we loved was that it was very quite at night unlike what we thought. this hotel is about 10mins away (by walk) from the nightlife of lloret de mar. It was full of families and old couples hehe although we are both under 25. If i have to go to lloret de mar again i will choose rosamar garden resort again :)

Room Tip: ask them to give you a room that looks over the pool. :)

“definitely 3 star hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

the hotel is definitely a 3 star hotel, rooms are clean but small, sad colours in rooms dark grey with light grey. This is the type of hotel to come when you are over 35 years old and you come with your childrens , everywhere you look childrens .... they scream ,cry, slam doors ( if you want to sleep a little on day time is almost impossible)
The hotel is located in the opposite side of the bay where the night life is (aprox.20 min by walk)
Very good food i loved it ... they have see food, vegetable food , meat ...everything .... i liked very much the food.
The staff is very friendly and they help you with everything you need.

“Nice pool”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2011

The hotel is located near the beach, shops and 500 m from the citycentre.
I think the hotel is a good 3 stars hotel. The hotel is smaller than in the magazines. I was a little disappointed. The pool is good, with short tubes. The rooms are good, but really standard. Don't expect too much.
The hotel is very good for kids, because there is a big miniclub.
The food was really not good, it had no taste and it was always the same.
The hotel is not really expensive.

“Polite staffed, good, clean, 'non-Brit' hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

Firstly, if you're the type of British family who likes to meet up and share your holiday experience with fellow Brits then this hotel is not for you; then again, Lloret de Mar is not typically a 'Brit resort'. Most fellow guests at the RGR are overwhelmingly Russian (there is even a Russian flag adorning the Kids Club!), followed by German and French, and also some Spanish at this Catalonian complex The resort (and hotel) is quite pricey. Hotel lager is 4 euro a pint, 1.50 a coffee, 1.50 to 2 euro for an ice-lolly - 6 euros an hour for use of internet (but if you have a wifi netbook/ laptop, they do provide internet access which I assumed was free(?) - #TIP: use one of the many internet shops in Lloret - just 1 euro an hour). The hotel is very clean, the pool area is great sized having 3 outdoor pools altogether, and one indoor with sauna etc. The hotel staff are polite and helpful - there is one Manchester lady working for RGR behind the check-in desk but most speak adequate English. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly (a special mention to the well spirited restaurant manager and slight Richard Gere lookalike Oliver, the cheerful Latvian girls and Paris's own Selene who walks endlessly around the tables with a beautiful smile and a drinks trolley! :) The food is average to good but, of course as with most hotels, there's always somethings to avoid. #TIP: If you have a baby with you, like we did, ask for the key for the lift that takes you right down to the restaurant. We did not realise this until very late in the holiday and it saves leaving the pram/ buggy up above and carrying your baby down the 18 steps to the restaurant! The rooms are well decorated and clean and spacious; linen etc is changed every day and the maids are polite. One last important note; if you are getting to the hotel by transfer-coach, chances are that you will be dropped off down the road outside another Rosamar hotel - the Spa. If you arrive before 6, then simply go into the 'Rosamar & Spa' check-in and ask for the 'Rosamar van service' to take your luggage (and yourselves) up the hill up to the RGR. If, like us, you arrive late at night, you'll have to walk it yourself with your luggage and if you also have a baby with you - this is a very tough trek!
Very last comment - this was the first hotel we have been to were they did not ask for a deposit. Perhaps it is now hotel policy that a deposit is no longer required? Or, maybe it was because we had a small baby with us (?) - if so, it was a nice gesture!
