We have just got back from a 7-night stay at the Olympic Park and at the booking stage we read the reviews (especially the negative ones). Our opinion was that "the place couldn't be that bad" so we booked anyway.................OOOPS!
As Brits you will be very much in the minority (approx 10 in total), although this really doesn't matter if you are planning to go out in the evenings, however, if you are looking forward to the hotel entertainment you may be disappointed:
The majority of the guests are Dutch, German or French and as such the entertainment is geared to their tastes, but, if you are into Ballroom Dancing to Manuel and his Bontempi Organ or Catalan Morris Dancers then you are in for a treat !
Another annoyance is that this hotel is very popular with French and Dutch youngsters (17 to 25 year-olds) who really do make a lot of noise as they return from clubbing. I'm not talking about the occasional chatter or heavy footsteps, I mean full-on screaming, whistling, door banging etc that, despite the best attempts by the hotel security guards takes place every night.
Other than these few gripes (which as I read them do seem to make me sound like Victor Meldrew) the Olympic Park and its sister hotels are genuinely a nice place to stay..... just be aware that it isn't geared towards 'Us Brits' and be prepared to get out and about for your entertainment

The hotel is beautiful inside and out.The swimming pools are very clean and safe and the entertainment on offer was of good quality.The food was in my opinion 5 star as there was so much choice and everything was cooked to perfection.My 9 year old daughter was in the pool for 5-6 hours a day and complained when told to get.The hotel is in a perfect location to the centre of Lloret as it is in a quiet area with hardly any noise during the day or night.I personally couldn't find one fault with the Olympic and we are actually staying there again next week!

Spent a week at this hotel a week ago. We had not had a holiday for five years and were looking forward to a relaxing week. However this was far from that! We did not get a decent night's sleep the whole time we were there, due to the large numbers of young male and female Germans staying there. ( I learnt they go there to celebrate after their exams)They were drinking night and day, but the nights were the worst. They had rooms next to one another, but also on the same floor as ordinary guests like us. They were drinking and banging doors all night. They ran into each other's rooms and held loud conversations in the corridors.
The first night we had some in the room next to us up all night drinking and being sick.
( the walls are very thin anyway)
We asked to move rooms after the first night, but this did not help as they were everywhere. I was up at 3am asking them to keep the noise down.
We went with First Choice holidays and we feel that we should never have been put into such a hotel.
Other people in our party also complained and were also moved.
Two days before we left coach loads of young footballers arrived!
On the postive side the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the meals were excellent.
But that pales into insignificance when you can't sleep. Your days are just ruined because you feel so tired.
I wouldn't advise anyone going here unless you are a night animal!

well hotel was nice and so was the food. But i think apart from two other couples we were the only english there and there was nearly a thousand germans and french so the rep said. They were noisy and up all night,so if your a family wanting to head out there i would reccommend you stay somewhere else.
