This hotel is a real gem- it is an old palace/ villa situated on the hill over looking the sea.
The grounds are lovely, pine trees, terracotta tiles and a fantastic view. The pool was fantastic overlooking the sea with a bar terrace.

A few of the staff were helpful and friendly, Wilson at the pool bar in particular, but the receptionists and waiting staff were generally unfriendly and unhelpful. YOu ask for room keys and they are practically thrown at you - check in took 25 minutes without a smile and don't ask/ expect any help or flexibility. No changes to the menu what so ever without a struggle or asking to see the manager (my son wanted plain rice one night!)
The food was reasonable, and the fish soup excellent.

The rooms are very old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Overall the hotel is good value.

When we were there it was noisy one night with young russians shouting. The baclonies are very close together so even with the doors closed you can hear everything. No carpets also mean you can hear everything clattering around in the rooms around you / above you.

Shame that just a few extra touches would make it perfect. I would recommend it though as long as you are aware of the faults.

The steps to the beach are not too bad.

Breakfast wasn't great- vending machines for horrible drinks and not a member of staff to be seen.

not expensive hotel on ths hill of lloret de mar.however it is remains an old fashion hotel.
I recommend this hotel!

This is certainly the most romantic hotel in Lorret, so you have to take it as it is. If you want a shinny new hotel, with cheap plastic, marble, lot of steel and glass you should go somewhere else.
It may seem old fashioned and some furniture a little worn down, but this makes all the charm depending what you looking for. There were hand made paintings on all walls and comfy leather sofas on the hallways.
Outside the hotel is covered with flowers, there were green hedges, flower pots and the view it’s absolutely breathtaking being above the see level about 200m and yet close to the beach. A room with sea view balcony is a MUST. Also in evening is very quiet from the city noise.
The rooms are bright and spacious we had no problem with services. In September we didn’t need ac or refrigerator. There is a big restaurant with terrace and the food is excellent, mediterranean style. We make a great choice choosing full board. Also there is a nice clean outdoor pool with bar. It’s a perfect 4**** hotel as it is.
As a conclusion I recommend this hotel for honeymoons and lovers.

This is a cheap hotel, dont bother taking much notice of the reviews from american tourists, they always expect far too much!

This is an old villa, and is decorated and furnished in this style, we thought it was lovely, quiet and the room was very spacious. The balcony alone was around 20 feet by 10 feet!

It is not for the elderly, you do have to walk down a lot of steps to get to the seafront, the walk back up sobers you up though! but the pool is lovely. and if you go out towards the main road, the hills dont seem too bad. (also, if you go out this way, the restaurants are cheaper. They get more expensive as you get closer to the sea.)

We loved it, and are planning to return next year.
