Stayed here over the Christmas and New Year festive season, but never again. As other people have stated the food is bland, with very little variety. With regard to the room, the towels were changed daily, but that is all. The bedside cabinets and bathroom fittings were not wiped down for the 2 weeks we were there.
The system that is used with regards to the drinks is a farce. When you check in you are given 2 cards which are used to obtain a glass with a drink. When you want another drink you take your glass back to the bar and along with a swipe card you can get another drink, but no glass or card no drink!!!!! So the idea is that the people who are not All Inclusive leave their empty glasses on the tables, so you take one of these glasses back, --- and hey presto --- another drink. After a while you can amass quite a number of cards!!!!! If you lose the card or forget your glass you have to put a 2euro deposit down to get another card!!!!! This does not matter really because the spirits are quite rough. My wife and I primarily drink coffee and the coffee out of the machines here is diabolical. If you want a ground coffee you have to pay extra!!! Maybe that is why a lot of visitors go over the road to a bar. If you want you can upgrade to A/I Gold at a cost of £18.00 per person per day!!!!! this then entitles you to branded drinks. --- So much for All Inclusive.
The Christmas eve meal and Christmas day meals were very good The New Years eve meal was excellent. The dining room was all lit with candles on the tables and the staff worked fantastically. The dining room staff and bar staff were good.. The reception staff were very helpful-- with the exception of one person --.
After the Christmas weekend a lot of British visitors on coach parties left, and were replaced with local spanish, and italian visitors who had come in for the new year weekend. From this time things went down-hill. The All Inclusive customers - like us - were now taking second place in preference to the other visitors -- maybe it is because they were paying for drinks and were not All Inclusive.
Some of these guests were rude and kept pushing in front --- they do not believe in queuing --- but hey that's life.
There is no proper place to relax, the bar area has no easy chairs , simply upright chairs at tables that have seen better days.
All in all we went away for a relaxing festive season and had anything but. The hotel is quite tired and in need of all round refurbishment.
I am afraid we will not be visiting Spain again for some considerable time!!!!!
