We spent 2 romantic days in October 2011. The room (123) was nice with own whirlpool, but no interesting view. The bed consisted of two single beds put together. We prefer one double size bed or at least a double size top-mattress. First night we had dinner in the normal restaurant. The 3 course meal was fine, but we were surprised they did not show us the wine card before we specifically asked for it, and thereafter they served the food before the wine! The second night we had dinner in the Michelin restaurant Passione Rossa, it was a very good experience, which we can warmly recommend. The restaurant manager was very knowledgable about local wines from the Nahe region and gave us a good service all night. Thank you for that! After dinner we had drinks in the cosy hotel bar and met some very nice local people. The SPA area was nice, just too bad the normal swimming pool was closed due to renovation, we enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi in stead. In the sauna area you must be naked, which we find quite strange, but it seems the Germans are used to it... (we found the same in Baden-Baden's Caracella spa). The breakfast was very nice and varied. They serve many types of gluten-free food. We rented bikes at the hotel and had a nice littel trip in the forrest and along the river Nahe. Overall we had a very nice stay in Bollants Hotel.
