This hotel is in a great location, in spacious treed grounds next to a canal and only a short drive from Slender West Lake and other gardens. A convenience store and a variety of good restaurants as well as KFC and Pizza Hut are within walking distance. It's also close to the starting point for the bus to Nanjing Airport.

However, the rooms are quite small and the service
indifferent. For example, the front desk refused to accept a
couriered package addressed to both me and my husband because the room was only in my husband's name.

The breakfast buffet was moderate compared to some of the other hotels we stayed at but covered all the basics with boiled eggs, bacon, congee, fried rice, vegetables, yummy pumpkin pastries, fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order.

We only ate one dinner at the hotel during our four night stay as only one of the three hotel restaurants was open and its menu quite limited.

Finally, despite claims on various hotel booking websites and in
guidebooks, there is no swimming pool.

Given the location and the affordable price (RMB 380), I don't regret the stay but the service would have to improve and the missing pool be found in order for me to heartily recommend this hotel.
