Found this hotel in coupn book from Welcome Center, $45.97 total. This was our 1st stop enroute to Fl & we were impressed. Easy on/off 95. had 1st floor room so easy to unload luggage. I was travelling with my 2 teens & enjoyed some quiet laps in the pool @ 9pm. Breakfast selections were great.

Enroute to NJ decided to stop overnight at Roanoke Rapids. Two areas off I 95 for motels. Took earlier exit (173) and checked out several chain motels. We were towing a small utility trailer with motorcycle and found these places both seedy looking and with no safe place to park vehicle safely. The whole area was run down and dirty. Decided to go to next exit, 176. The Best Western there was more than acceptable. Told we could park our pick up with trailer attached right outside the door of our room. Adequate lighting in the parking lot made it possible for us to view the bike at all times. Area seemed much safer. No vagrants, no bars, no loud music - just a couple of motels. Check in was quick and room was adequate for overnight stay - which I'm sure is why most people stayed here. Clean bedding and 2 queen beds that were comfortable. Clean bathroom with separate switches for lioht and exhaust fan (sounds trivial, but we like to leave bathroom light on at night and sometimes the sound of the exhaust fan is too loud!) Sufficient towels, washcloths for a room designed for 4 people. Hot water was HOT and water pressure in shower was good. Quiet area and the motel was quiet the night we were there - even though there were two charter buses parked in the lot when we arrived! It was obvious the place filled up overnight. We arrived around 10PM and it was already crowded. Did not take advantage of continental breakfast but the early AM coffee was very good! Easy on-off from Interstate. Will stay here again on our next trip north.

on 7 12 myself n others had 2 rooms there...we had guess 6black men pulled up no music or anything to the pool where we were the 2kids came in the pool the owners run out yelling umma call the police several times..they ask for what we not doing anything we tryn to tell them they want a room they said they have no rooms a lie..our white friend who was wit us called n ask for a room and they say they had rooms...it was crazy she wouldnt give us our money bac..so thats anotha lie about a refund....DONT GO THERE THEY ARE PREJUDICE!!!!

Arrived late with wife and 5yr old on our way up from Fla.. Room was on first floor on poolside. Smelled of mothballs (which should have been the 1st clue).
early am awoke from a sound sleep with the smell of raw sewage in the air.Didn't want to wake wife and child so I opened the door to get some fresh air and it was worse outside. Horrible experience. Just wanted to pack up and. Continue our trip up north.
