We are seasoned travelers who have stayed in a wide variety of hotels including other Comfort Inn suites, so I booked this when we need a place to stay the night before my husband's same day surgery at a nearby hospital. When we walked into our room, we immediately noted that the carpet hadn't been vacuumed very well. We let it pass because it was late and we had to get up at 5am - we'd just keep our socks on until we went to bed. Turned on the TV to watch the end of the Giants game but it didn't work.
The staff was able to get us a second room and fortunately that TV worked, but again we noted that the carpet was poorly vacuumed in the second room and the bathroom floor was not very clean. My husband actually recleaned the toilet before using it with the shampoo they give you. I refused to take a shower.....
Very sloppy bed making too. I had to pull the bottom sheets down under the mattress so they wouldn't come out during the night. - At least they were clean. The beds were comfortable enough, but we didn't sleep well - not only in anticipation on the upcoming surgery, but because we were kind of creeped out by the conditions of the room.
It's a shame - this place is reasonable priced, in a good location and having a separate sitting area with a wet bar is a nice feature. Unfortunately the management doesn't seem to put forth the effort needed to make this place decent. Fortunately, my husbands surgery went fine... and the Giants won the playoffs.
