“Perfect for a small conference”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I just stayed at this hotel for a three day conference and just cannot say enough great things about my experience. The free shuttle was there in minutes and the driver was so friendly and helpful. He remembered my name throughout my stay and carried my bag from the lobby on my return with a smile. All staff, from the front desk, to those who directed us to the conference rooms, to the servers and housekeeping staff were friendly and professional. My room was immaculate and the housekeeping staff kept it that way. The room had all amenities and the internet fee had been included in our contract with the hotel. The halls were quiet and you could hear doors close but not slam. Even though the rooms on either side of me were occupied, I never heard a conversation or television. The meals served at the conference were ample and delicious and they kept replenishing beverages to accompany the snack items for breaks. I could print out my boarding passes in the lobby and the television check out was a snap. The is a very nice, very large, upscale mall with restaurants ranging from Panera to P.F. Changs to McCormicks. I have attended conferences in much fancier and costly hotels but I have never had a better experience than with the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley.

Very unimpressed. Rooms need updating badly and did not appear to be very clean at all.
Would not stay here again!!

“WHAT A WASTE OF MY MONEY!!!”

My stay was for business/weekend enjoyment. I'm a Wedding Planner and the PWG Bridal Show was hositing their event @ Raleigh Marriott Crabtree. Since I was one of the vendors. I decided to make my life easier by making a reservation for the entire weekend. I had ask one of my best friends from NY to travel to assist me, which she did (girls weekend). So, it was going to be a GREAT WEEKEND in my head. lol Well, it started with check-in the staff seemed nice until we walked into our double bed room. The room smelled of mildew and the a.c. was freezing cold. The a.c. was broken, we couldn't adjust the warm air. We tried calling the front desk for assistance. Realizing the phones didn't workin the room,so we used our cell phone to reach the desk. We was switched to another room, again some problems. So, we thought day 2 would be better... lol, our breakfast was WONDERFUL! The bridal show was great! Tried and sleepy, we decided to return to the room and again a problem, the magnetic key wasn't working and again we went to the front desk...lol The staff made us feel as if we were being a problem. How do they expect someone to get into there room with a broken key. lol We were offered another key. We did get in and something happen to the second key and while waiting for a manager in our room to return with a new key we were talking how poor service we received. My friend walked over to the door and there was the manger eavesdropping our converstation. Wow!!! I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!

Maybe, someone else might have a better stay. We didn't!!

Room Tip: I have nothing! My room was like the NORTH POLL!

“Typical Marriott”

Nice fitness room. Not happy that the concierge lounge wasn't open due to the holidays....it's the 19th of Dec!! Great location if you like to shop as there is a nice large mall across the street. Staff was good. It's a bit pricey but this is a desirable area.

“Fantastic Thanksgiving Day Buffet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

Our mouths were watering as the sounds of the live harp ushered us into the banquet room. The staff greeted us warmly and brought our drink orders right away. The special Thanksgiving buffet had delicous treats ranging from fruit and cheese to mixed greens and salad toppings to fabulous pork and fresh carved turkey and prime rib to pumpkin bisque. A plethora of elegant desserts and fresh breads completed the offerings. All the traditional fare plus supplements of macaroni and cheese and a fresh seafood dish as well!

My picky eater sons were even treated to a heaping plate of five large chicken tenders each, when the chef learned that they were not turkey fans. The only addition the boys would have suggested would have been a "kids' table"--items such as jello, fries, cookies, and other kid fare--and possibly a chocolate fountain for them to dip marshmallows, cookies, strawberries, pineapple, rice krispy treats, and more--they experienced this at a different Thanksgiving buffet (at Great Wolf Lodge) and think it is the ultimate in kid satisfaction!

We're looking forward to indulging again at Christmas! It is wonderful to have a delicious meal with variety for everyone--without mom spending the entire morning cooking (for an event that takes all of 20 minutes for everyone to consume!) and the afternoon cleaning up! Instead I actually spent time tackling "to do" tasks that had been left undone much too long and still had energy left to play games with the kids as well!

Thanks to the Marriott staff for making us feel spoiled...truly a home away from home!
