“Nice people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

This is a shout out to a very helpful and friendly lady named Silvana who was working at the breakfast buffet area. She without her extra attention I would not be on the internet today, as I did not know I could use my Hilton Gold Honors card to get internet connections. She knew how the points worked and how I could use them to work for me. I really appreciated her going the extra mile.

“Nice but not nice enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Very accommodating hotel though it has seen better days. I liked the suite but my husband couldn't sleep due to noise. That said, it was very, very clean but it needs a little sprucing up. It's dark in the inside hallways and looks like a put put golf course in the middle complete with little ramps. VeryDated.

The staff was friendly at the desk, but the bartender during the special happy hour for guests, was curt and seemed very unhappy with the job.

I don't want to say it was a bad hotel, it wasn't. It was nice but not nice enough for the price.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to the Embassy Suites Raleigh-Crabtree Hotel. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional service and accommodations. We are very concerned about your comments about the bartender's attitude and have addressed the situation with the Food and Beverage Manager. We believe this will alleviate any future issues.

“Nice hotel. Great location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

My family visited the Embassy Suites December 26-December 29, 2011. We were there to visit family and to be closer to the mall so the kids could spend their gift cards they got for Christmas. The Crabtree Mall is nice and right across the street. Lots of restaraunts in the area and very close to the highway. We found this hotel to be clean. The staff was friendly. The cooked to order breakfast was good. The kids also went to the pool. It was clean, had an ample amount of towels. We also stayed in a corner room. It was quiet. I would stay here again and recommend it.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

Walls were so thin in our suite that you could here people talking in the next room before they turned their TV on for several hours, which made it impossible for the family member sleeping in the sofa bed in the second room to sleep at all.

Desk people tried to be nice but were dumb as sticks when it came to answering questions about the area and info about honors program. The man looked like he had slept in his shirt and the woman had greasy hair.

Food so so.

My biggest complaint was with the Hilton Honors program which has decided to drop my husband's level from gold to the lower blue rating. His card still says gold. Wifi is free with gold but requires a $9 plus fee for other guests. Next time we will stay at a Hampton or other hotel (& there are plenty of them) that have free wifi. Very much dislike being treated as second rate.

Room Tip: get an executive suite if you can afford it. Corner rooms may have less noise.

“Great break from the Mall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

We zipped up to Raleigh for a little getaway on 12/18 to shop a little and relax a lot. This hotel was a great choice. Did our thing at Crabtree across the street then retreated to the ES. Had the pool and whirlpool to ourselves, played scrabble, read and relaxed in peace. We were given 2 drink tickets each to the "Managers" reception (did not see the manager). After those were used decided not to drive and order from the very limited bar menu. But, if you order the burger; split it between 2 people as it is HUGE! The fried were fat, hot inside and crispy outside and the Waitress/Barkeep hustled to keep the patrons happy.
Breakfast was OK. We both had pancakes and very over cooked scrambled eggs and a omelet. Would be better if breakfast was 7-10 instead of 6-9 on weekends...we were rushed.

Room Tip: Choose a corner room which have no picture windows to the atrium and are quieter and more private...
