My husband had some medical appointments at Duke Hospital so we choose this hotel to stay one night in. We will never stay again though. First the gentleman that checked us in was rude. Then when we get to our room a funky spell hit us in the face when opened the door. I went to the front to ask for more pillows because the one we had was just about nothing. Also, while I was up there I asked for toilet paper because we had very little in the bathroom with no extra roll. He told me he would have to get a roll for storage and he would bring it down. Well three hours or more passed and still no toilet paper. At 9 pm I called the front to tell them the toilet was broke and continuously run water and that we needed toilet paper. She said she did not have anyone to fix the toilet and that we could come get the toilet paper. Lastly, it advertised free wi-fi and we did not have any. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Wallpaper in bathroom peeling, gout missing/discolored in shower. Front panel supporting bathroom sink/counter sagging/separated from counter, gap of at least 1/2 inch.
Dents & goughs in wall, exposed outlets w/out cover plates. Uphosltery torn on chair. Exposed bare wood around repairs - should have been re-wallpapered. Closet pole end support fell off when I tried to hang my garment bag on it.

I went there to see my sibling graduate, so thank god I wasn't staying in that hotel very long.
First, the hotel is located in a hard to find spot. There are no signs indicating that the hotel is right around the bend.
When I booked the hotel, it said that it included a microwave, which when I checked into the room, it did not. I called the front desk to request one and he acted like he didn't care! He told us to come to the lobby to use the microwave there.
The room was disguisting! The ceiling had brown water damage to it, there was an indent in the bed, the sheets were nasty (we were so horrified that we slept on top of the sheets!), the bathtub faucet for the hot water was broke, so we didn't even get to take a shower!
The worst parts about this experience was that we called to try to change rooms and the front desk clerk said that they were solid booked, but when we looked outside there was like no one in the parking lot and when we filled out the questionaire at the front desk, someone called us a week later and NOTHING got resolved!
I have NEVER stayed somewhere as grotesque as this place and the service was horrible!
I have stayed at cheaper hotels that were like a 5 star resorts compared to this dump!

Hands down, this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel. I've stayed at similar properties and had no problems, but this hotel was dirty and shady. The price was cheap, but even then I would consider this to be overpriced.

The bathroom was waterstained, the shower curtains where cheap and leaked water all over the bathroom floor, which was tiny anyway. There were stains on the carpet and the room smelled musty. The bedding was circa the 70's, that cheap polyester type that is rough against your skin.

The location isn't bad at all, not a bad neighborhood and it's convienent to the local area, but that doesn't make up for it. On my final night's stay there were a group of teenaged kids that must have rented a room in the back of the hotel for a party and they were all running around tne parking lot and kept me up all night. I will never come back, there are many other inexpensive hotels in Raleigh to chose from.
