I went to this hotel to check in for a night while I was in Raleigh. Anyways, I found this place closed and saw bunch of people working, I asked one of the worker there and he told me that this place is going under a complete renovation, and also changing its name to Super 8.
When I say complete renovation, I mean "Complete" because I saw those rooms while I was there and they were gutted out completely and getting a new make over. Trust me this place will be nice after its done. I will definitely go there again, and hopefully its open by then.

People are complaining about the most idiotic things on here. You're not staying at the Hilton, you're spending 40 bucks on a Econolodge. We stayed three nights. The place was clean, and every day when we got back, the room had been completely cleaned from top to bottom. I had left valuables, including a laptop and money, and they were exactly as I left them. The front desk was courteous and kind. The location was just perfect, near tons of stores and restaurants, and only 10 minutes from downtown Raleigh. People complain about wallpaper and a water spot or a faucet not being perfect. They need to get a life and realize how good you're getting it here for fewer than fifty dollars. If you want luxury, pay the hundreds of dollars for luxury. You’re not buying an apartment or moving in; you’re just sleeping there for a few nights. If you want a clean, cozy, quiet (very quiet), comfortable place to sleep at night while on vacation, then this is perfect. I plan to go back.

My husband had some medical appointments at Duke Hospital so we choose this hotel to stay one night in. We will never stay again though. First the gentleman that checked us in was rude. Then when we get to our room a funky spell hit us in the face when opened the door. I went to the front to ask for more pillows because the one we had was just about nothing. Also, while I was up there I asked for toilet paper because we had very little in the bathroom with no extra roll. He told me he would have to get a roll for storage and he would bring it down. Well three hours or more passed and still no toilet paper. At 9 pm I called the front to tell them the toilet was broke and continuously run water and that we needed toilet paper. She said she did not have anyone to fix the toilet and that we could come get the toilet paper. Lastly, it advertised free wi-fi and we did not have any. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Wallpaper in bathroom peeling, gout missing/discolored in shower. Front panel supporting bathroom sink/counter sagging/separated from counter, gap of at least 1/2 inch.
Dents & goughs in wall, exposed outlets w/out cover plates. Uphosltery torn on chair. Exposed bare wood around repairs - should have been re-wallpapered. Closet pole end support fell off when I tried to hang my garment bag on it.
