“Pleasant hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

I stayed here for a week for a business event nearby. The staff were very friendly. The lobby has recently been renovated and has a lovely breakfast bistro. Breakfast was good, good variety of healthy sanks. A little expensive. $3.50 for a large granoli yoghurt. Did not eat in the restaurant. Hotel provided a mini shop - very handy for water or snacks. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The room was very good, the king size bed was extremely comfy. Check out was swift with no delays. The hotel overall was very clean.

$15.00 cab ride to the stadium and is located right across the street from the mall which has some very good restaurants.

“Great staff”

My friend and I were in Raleigh to visit the NC Museum of Art to see the Rembrandt exhibit. We booked a room at the Courtyard Marriott. I received a phone call from a staff member that said the room we requested was no longer available, but we could each have a room for the price of the one room. This worked out beautifully, because we were both worried that the other person snored!

The breakfast was alright but not very appealing. There was a cold choice and a hot choice. There was some confusion as to what was allowed under each heading.

Crabtree Mall is 2 minutes away and would be a big draw if I need to be in Raleigh at a future date. I'd choose the Courtyard if only for that reason.

Room Tip: Our room was perfect. Clean, quiet, with a sofa, flatscreen TV and HBO.

“Off the beaten path”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

This hotel is nice enough... what you'd expect for this class and chain of hotels. However, for me, it was a bit off the beaten path and not convenient to shopping and dining. Amenities did seem a little slim; only one computer for hotel guests to use, small breakfast area and offerings.

“Average-Service?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

No view in rooms next to Hwy70, bed lumpy, bath tub had been painted and was peeling paint. Few ammenities, left my grand daugthers coat. Called the next day and 2 more days. Said they couldn't find it but weren't willing to talk to me about looking again. Finally I stopped when back in town and found an employee that was leaving that came back to help look for me one more time. After about 15 minutes she found the coat, I paid her a reward . If I hadn't returned to the hotel I probably would not have gotten the coat back. Probably won't stay again. Food in the lounge-a little high. It is close to Crabtee but wouldn't walk there.

Room Tip: Check out the bed and tub before you stay in the room. Didn't have enough towels, had to ask fo...
