“Posting This Comment on Behalf of My Travelling Husband”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

My husband travels almost weekly on business and has stayed in hotels all over the country. Never has he complained about any of them until now. He sent me the following email message this morning describing his stay at this less than stellar Holiday Inn:

"For the first time in my years of staying at a Holiday Inn, I am sending a letter. That hotel was a disgrace. I did not look at the shower before this AM, but it was disgusting, with mold all over the place and it was dimly lit. The entire room was bad, with holes in the carpet and peeling paint. The wires in the hallway outlets were simply hanging out of the walls. I paid $119 per night, but heard someone else calling in who got a $69 rate. In any event I did not have the energy to challenge it last night. The bed was clean, at least. I stayed there, because two of my business associates said they had stayed there last week. I feel like I want to go home and take another shower."

Well, there you have it. Sounds just terrible!

“Best Hotel for money in the area.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

The Holiday Inn is a nice bargain in the area. It is right off of Capitol Blvd in the Northside of Raleigh, only 12 minutes from the Wake Forest area. Clean, has restaurant on site. If working on business has large lobby to conduct interviews or meetings.

“Decent for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

This hotel is located right off US1 making it a convenient place to stop. The desk staff was warm and welcoming. The hotel itself was clean for an older property. My only issue was the pool/hottub area, which was open - but not maintained very well. The water had a lot of debris floating in it, and the filters don't seem well maintained. This lack of maintenance for an advertised feature brought down my opinion of the property as a whole.

“Enjoyable Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Raleigh North on several different occasions. The most recent being a two week stay with one week remaining for training. The rooms, with their new 32” flat screen televisions and facility are very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great breakfast bar and restaurant on site with a full bar if you choose to stay in for the evening or just wind down after a long day. If you choose to leave the facility it is located in close proximity to many local restaurants. The onsite conference facility is also a great plus. The rooms are of adequate size and it is very convenient to be able to attend class within the facility where you are staying. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that may be coming to the area and I look forward to staying here again.

“Nice and Clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

This is the first time that I have been to the Holiday Inn North in Raleigh. I have been here for two weeks for a three week school. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning staff are very proficient in keeping the rooms tidy in a timely manner and are very polite. The breakfast and supper are great along with a full service bar. The conference center is a plus by bing able to stay here on site and take classes during the day. The only time I have to leave is to grab a bite of lunch. The exercise room located on site is also a big plus with a good variety of equipment to stay in shape. After a long day in the classroom, you can unwind by taking a swim in the pool, or relax those tired muscles in the hot tub. There are also new 32" flat screen televisions in all the rooms that were being instaalled during my stay. The hotel reception staff at the front desk were most helpful and extremely friendly during my check-in and check-outs. I would recommend this facility as a great palce to stay.
