Huge centipedes in the bathroom. No maid service. Had to pay for coffee for the coffee maker after the first day. No wireless internet connectivity, although there was 1 ethernet cable. There were two of us in the room so we had to share. The room is pretty roomy and is set up to do work. However, centipedes in the bathroom are a big distraction.

Wasn't really impressed by this place from the get go - arrived at 8pm and there was a sign at the front desk saying the clerk was out and would return in like an hour. Once I finally got my key I went through what seemed like a maze to get to my room that reminded me of a tiny apartment in east LA. The place is much nicer looking on the outside, if you can find it...its not exactly the easiest place to find either. Room wasn't particularly clean, especially the bathroom. Stains on the floors, etc...not what I would expect from a Candlewood.

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the Fairgrounds where we were going to a dog show. This hotel is pet friendly and even has registration for your pet. That was nice. Rooms were very spacious! We were traveling with two children and they had a pull out sofa in the living area and we had our own bedroom with a door that closed. Two closets and a nice size table/desk in teh kitchen. We were very pleased with the size of the room. They had no breakfast, but there was a Pantry where you could get just about anything to eat. It was really nice as well. The only problem was that we drove by the hotel the first time. It sits below the road and is very hard to see.

We stay at the Candlewood Suites each time we come to Raleigh to see the Carolina Hurricanes, and we have never been disappointed! It is simply a great value - the rooms are pristine, the beds are comfortable, and the location is very convenient to I-40, the RBC Center, and several restaurants. When staying in a single room, the air conditioning unit can be a little noisy, but that is the closest thing to a complaint I can manage. On one occasion last year you could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway, but during our most recent stay everything was very fresh and well kept.
