“WORST HOTEL IN HISTORY”

ROXANNE THE GENERAL MANAGER, LARRY, SHONDA, PATRICIA, ARE ALL THE WORST STAFF AND HOST FOR ANY HOTEL THIS HOTEL HAS DRUGS, DRUG- DEALLERS, WOMAN SELLING THERE BODY IN FRONT OF YOUR KIDS, THE STAFF DO DRUGS AND BE GOING IN AND OUT OF ROOMS WITH THE CUSTOMERS, THEY HAVE CERTAIN GUEST THEY SERVICE AND DO FOR HERE. they will kick people out in the cold just to try to keep there job and make more money off of you by adding to your bill and can't answer for it. (meaning what is the extra money is for that has been added to your bill.) ROXANNE and her entire staff are uptight sneaky people. This hotel is not a safe enviroment for you or your kids. This is a hotel not really recommend for a safe stay here. This is not a one time stay I have been here from time to time to know these inside scoops. Please beaware that these prices are cheap for the pocket but dont judge a book by it's cover...

“I highly recommend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2010

I highly recommend this Studio Plus off Wake Towne Road, everyone was great! The room was clean and comfortable. It was the cheapest in the area, and the best! I can not wait to visit Raleigh and stay here again! I wouldn't pick anywhere else!

“Guest services very rude.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2009

It was good the 1st couple days but I went up to the front desk to pay for additional days and there was no one up there for like 30 min. I asked the house keeping and they were rude and was no help. When the front desk attendent came back 30 min later they did not say sorry for your wait or anything.

“Good Staff, Mediocre Building”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2008

I had two occasions to stay at this property this summer and both visits were OK. The staff was great on both occasions. They handled check in and check out quickly and efficiently. They were upbeat and pleasant every time I encountered them. On the night that had a huge party (fortunately for me, at the other end of the motel), we were greeted with a written apology from the manager at the check out desk the next morning, as well as a promise that the property’s noise policy would be tightened in the future.

The rooms themselves were in decent shape. Everything in my rooms was clean and functioning. There were plenty of utensils and dishes in the kitchen. The bedding and furniture was comfortable. The wireless connection was reasonably priced and functional, but a little on the slow side. The pool was clean and useful, with no posted closing hours for guests. The building itself seemed a bit thin and flimsy. The floors had a slight bit of bounce to them. The walls were thin and I heard every nearby door as it opened and closed. The hallway on my floor was clean, but the hallway on another floor was heavily stained. The outside door at one end of the building had a broken handle, which made it unusable unless it was blocked open.

In short, the things that the day-to-day staff are supposed to handle are being handled well. But the building’s flimsiness could cause things to go downhill in a hurry if the ownership doesn’t invest in proper maintenance and repairs.

  • Liked — Clean and comfortable
  • Disliked — Outside noise through thin walls

“Disgusting”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2007

My fiance booked a room here when he started a new job in Raleigh, and our house was not ready to move into yet. I traveled to Raleigh to visit him for a weekend. My first night in Raleigh was also my fiance's first night in the hotel. It was also our last night there. Walking through the halls to our room, I noticed that the place was in disrepair. There were holes in the walls, and many of them were poorly patched. The overall look of the place was that is was worn down with scuff marks, dents and dings everywhere.

Once we were in our room, I noticed the appliances and cabinets in the mini-kitchen were very old and falling apart. Some of the cabinets wouldn't close and were falling off the hinges. The pillows were uber-flat. The sheets did not look especially clean. I don't consider myself a super-picky person about where I sleep. I'm happy with a clean, dry, comfy bed and a shower, so I figured I could put up with this place for the few nights I was in Raleigh.

After spending one night there, I got a shower in the morning. I grabbed one of only two towels that had been placed in our room and discovered that the towel was COVERED in hair. The second towel was also covered in hair. I ended up drying off with a hand towel because it was the cleanest I could find. I was so grossed out by this that I refused to spend another night there.

  • Liked — The location wasn't bad.
  • Disliked — I've never stayed at a hotel so disgusting in my entire life!
