We were supposed to get a nice, clean, spacious two queen bed room with a whirlpool. What we got was a dead roach in the doorway, a dead fly on the table, a dirty sock half way hanging out from under the TV, a miniature bathtub with some jets, and NO hot water. Oh, and a smell that would make your toe nails curl and your nose shrivel up like Voldemort's. The pool was nasty. I'm pretty sure someone was growing penicillin cultures in the pool water.
We walked in to the room and my wife said: "Just get them (the kids) in the bath (if it's halfway clean) then lets go to bed and get out of here early in the morning." When there was no hot water, I loaded up the car and we were going to leave and find another place. Thankfully, they gave us our money back, but if they hadn't, I'd rather have eaten the loss than slept there. We itched the whole way to the nice, clean shower in our room at the Holiday Inn Express. So, I'll give them props for refunding the money. If they would just clean it up right, air out the rooms (a lot) and get a dang hot water heater than can handle the 10 rooms that were occupied, it would be a lot better.
