I originally reserved a suite with two bedrooms for the two couples that would be staying at this hotel over Christmas. The lady on the phone helping me make the reservation was patience embodied as I threw what was likely more than a usual amount of detailed questions at her. Upon arrival, there was an unfortunate overbooking of that style of suite but the same lady took care of us and we received two separate rooms for a very discounted rate. Who would complain? She was so kind to worry about us not having our original reserved suite that I will always remember this hotel with her in mind.

The rooms themselves were fantastic; well designed, well maintained, and very tasteful. We had the convenience of a kitchenette with dining table, living room, bath, and separate bedroom with two very large closets all with not a speck or smudge to be found. The decor was homey yet refined enough that my husband and I actually think we might try to implement some of the design in our own home!

I appreciated the dishwasher, the brand-name toiletries, the convenient access to the parking lot (but behind enough locked doors to feel safe), the view to watch over our vehicle, the hot breakfast complete with waffles, corned beef hash, and eggs, the cozy foyer and lounge area with tv, the complimentary USA Today, and all the smiles.

While we felt a little unfortunately to be relegated to a hotel for Christmas, I couldn't have picked a better one in which to feel at home. And I've been in quite a few hotels!

We have stayed here previously and stayed in the 1 bedroom. This time we reserved the 2 bedroom. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly at check in. The only complaint we had was that the first night we were there, the fire alarm went off at 430 in the morning. The wing we were in, the alarm stayed on until after 6 am. My husband went downstairs and they gave us a 1 bedroom on a different floor, but after going down to that room, we decided to go back to our original room. Other than that, we had a great stay. Would love to stay with them again as long as the fire alarm is fixed.

When it comes to Homewood Suites often it's a toss up on what you are going to get. This location was perfect. I estimate it was built early to mid 90s but is well kept and updated. This property also has a bar which is not common in Homewood Suites. The dinner is served with Beer and wine then there is a separate bar area that stays open till 10:00pm. The fitness room is small but has current equipment. The food was pretty good given it's free I choose to eat at the hotel even though I have and expense account the Pepper Beef Steak and Rice was great. Also salad, corn, and 3 types of rolls were available and did I mention Beer.

Breakfast was Bacon, Eggs and bagels etc. Staff was very nice and location was quite but very close to Lowes Foods, Pizza, Chinese food, deli all within walking distance.

The room I had was the large King which had nice living area with flat screen tv and full kitchen. Bedroom was very big with a separate sitting area and additional flat screen tv.

I think this one is hard to beat!
