We stayed at the Pinehurst resort for the very first time last weekend 11-12 February 2012. From the time we pulled up to the main entrance we felt like we had entered a world of Status and Class. We knew that the resort was a magnificent place, but to see it first hand gave us a feeling that was larger than life. The bellhop's were outstanding. They really made you feel welcomed and safe. The front desk was most courteous and helpful. They looked you in your eyes and made you blieve that you were special. They had our roomkeys ready to check in, in less than 5 minutes. The bellhop's took our luggage straight to our room. My wife tipped the bellhop's too. She was very impressed with their professionalism.
Our room was very exquisite, and most inviting to us. I found myself laying on the bed as soon as I put down my room key. My wife and I napped for two hours in total comfort. The bed was so comfortable. The linen had a smell of springtime fresh. And the pillows where so relaxing and comfortable too.
We watched the television and got ready for lunch. We decided to eat at The Holly Inn Tavern. The food and service were terrific. We had the Bison burger, " Oh so good". My wife had never had Bison before, so it was a real plesure for both of us. The waitress was so knowledgeable and very courteous to us. She was very busy, but never let our glass go empty. We left the Holly Inn and walked over to the shops and toured the village. All the sells staff were very kind and most helpful. However evertything was not on sell. But it was of the best quality money can buy. We are bringing our son back to shop, its his kind of place.
We went back to our room and relaxed, and enjoyed the company of each other, while laying in the bed. We went down to the banquet room for our event and had a wonderful dinner and danced the night away.
We retired to our room and slept liked baby's in our very comfortable bed. We awoke sunday morning around 730; got dressed and went down to the Carolina dining room for breakfast buffet. I can only say, we can't wait to come back in two weeks to eat again. Everything was delicious, and so fresh and hot. I ate everything and im on cholesterol medicine , but it was so good i didn't care!
We had another hour with our group and then we checked out. The front desk had us checking out around noon, but we asked for an extension and where granted to stay until 1 pm. We left by 1145. We can only say, Thank you for a magnificent weekend. We are booking reservations in the near future for another weekend get away. Thank you
