My elderly father and I were traveling late at night on 85 and had car trouble and pulled off at the nearest exit which happened to be Oxford. We were welcomed to find an available room at the Comfort Inn and could not have imagined we would be treated to such an wonderful experience. After checking in the front desk staff help make us aware of our nearby options to have our car fixed and were very empathetic to our situation . The next morning I had to take a work remotely for a few hours while the car was being fixed, the wireless signal in our room was not strong enough but the manager supplied me with an ethernet cord and offered to have someone come assess the wireless signal, they could not have been more helpful. At breakfast we were greeted with even more courteous staff, two women were working in the breakfast room, twice we were asked if the air temperature was comfortable, we were offered bacon and eggs from both of them and when we made our waffles they offered to get strawberry topping from the kitchen. They were constantly replenishing supplies and keeping the area orderly. This was to me over the top attentiveness and hospitality for a breakfast that is typically presumed self service and minimal at this type of accomodation. We were close to making our check out time as I had some work to complete and the manager was again very accomodating to our schedule. I have stayed at many types of accomodations in my years traveling as a consultant including extended visits to places like The Four Seasons, but the true kindness and genuine hospitality offered at the Oxford Comfort Inn was unmatched.
