“Most Friendly and Accomodating hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 March 2010

My elderly father and I were traveling late at night on 85 and had car trouble and pulled off at the nearest exit which happened to be Oxford. We were welcomed to find an available room at the Comfort Inn and could not have imagined we would be treated to such an wonderful experience. After checking in the front desk staff help make us aware of our nearby options to have our car fixed and were very empathetic to our situation . The next morning I had to take a work remotely for a few hours while the car was being fixed, the wireless signal in our room was not strong enough but the manager supplied me with an ethernet cord and offered to have someone come assess the wireless signal, they could not have been more helpful. At breakfast we were greeted with even more courteous staff, two women were working in the breakfast room, twice we were asked if the air temperature was comfortable, we were offered bacon and eggs from both of them and when we made our waffles they offered to get strawberry topping from the kitchen. They were constantly replenishing supplies and keeping the area orderly. This was to me over the top attentiveness and hospitality for a breakfast that is typically presumed self service and minimal at this type of accomodation. We were close to making our check out time as I had some work to complete and the manager was again very accomodating to our schedule. I have stayed at many types of accomodations in my years traveling as a consultant including extended visits to places like The Four Seasons, but the true kindness and genuine hospitality offered at the Oxford Comfort Inn was unmatched.

“Nice, Clean, Good Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2009

We stayed at this hotel three times during the summer of 2009 while visiting with family in Oxford.

Hotel is really the only reasonable choice in Oxford but we are certainly glad it's there. There are others that I personally wouldn't recommend going near.

Free internet here is a plus and it worked well.

Property was remodeled recently and has three floors. Beware that they do allow pets here. I personally get grossed out by the idea of a dog in my hotel room but I was happy to learn that dogs are allowed on the third floor only. So, if you are like me, request a room on the first or second floor.

Nice little pool. Plenty of room to swim in and it was clean two out of three visits. My husband felt it needed a bit of a cleaning on our second visit but I personally found nothing wrong with it and enjoyed using it with my three year old and 7 month old baby.

Front desk was hospitable and friendly. Breakfast in the morning is average; nothing to write home about but hey, it's free. Weekend mornings they offer bacon and eggs. You have to ask for them, so be sure to ask the attendant if you want some. I never saw a sign advertising this but I found out when I saw others eating bacon and eggs. They are the carton eggs, but again, this is more than what you normally get for a free breakfast.

Basic exercise room is available on the first floor.

One last thing- there is a conference room on the first floor that they rent out for parties. There was a baby shower going on when we arrived and the music was a little loud (from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.). Just be aware and maybe ask for a room away from the conference room if you want to be sure that you are not affected by any noise from any events there.

I would recommend this as a great value for someone needing a clean, comfy and basic place to stay.
