“Cute and cozy getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We missed our ferry out of Ocracoke and are happy we did, otherwise we would have not discovered this little gem of a place. Situated off the main drag, within walking distance of the shore and lighthouse, is this wonderful little home--we took the suite on the top floor, complete with our own private balcony. The bed was soft and comfy, the furniture took us back to times past when things were leisurely and quiet! And there was a very nice tub with jacuzzi. We had our selection of wine to choose from, complementary, for happy hour, along with various cheeses, and since we had to leave very early the next AM, the owner very graciously fixed us two breakfast bags to take along on the ferry. I would highly recommend this place for an "off the beaten path" leisurely excursion back in time. Be sure to walk the nature trail down to the beach, a winding path through a grove of Carolina beach forest, you almost can sense the ghost of Blackbeard the Pirate.

Room Tip: Pay a little more and get a suite on the top floor, it is worth the cost!

“Great Winter Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

My wife and I were looking for a weekend get away to celebrate both our 19th wedding anniversary and my recent retirement from the Navy. Erin and Chad made sure we had a great time, even though some of the island businesses were closed down for Christmas. From restaurant recommendations to top notch service, we had a great time and look forward to returning in the future. P.S. the wine tasting and breakfast were excellent.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Pamlico suite and the views were great, water on two sides with a view of both the...

“A great place to stay when visiting Ocracoke.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

Our stay was only for one night and out of season. We arrived late and the weather was not at it's best but the warm greeting we received made up for that.
The whole ambience of The Cove is of comfort and home from Home. Chad made us feel like friends visiting and was eager to tell us of all the amenities that the Bed and Breakfast provides . I only wished we had stayed longer and that the weather had co-operated more!

“Wonderful time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

This was a great opportunity to get away from the work pace and slow down and relax. The scenery was great, we loved the accommodations at The Cove, and Erin and Chad were the perfect hosts/innkeepers. They were very knowledgeable about the local area, helped us with restaurants and shopping sites, and also with local events. The breakfast was wonderful, and the fellowship was too! I recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy good scenery and good friends.

“Great views, rooms and hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

This was our first visit to a Bed and Breakfast and to the Island of Ocracoke. We went for the weekend and met up with our friends who were also staying there. It was a couples trip so it was nice we could all stay in the same bed and breakfast. Erin and Chad were very nice, outgoing and attentive hosts. When we checked in to our Suite on the third floor and upon checking the room out we found that the screen for the sliding glass door was ripped. I called Erin and Chad which he came over to the house a fixed it promptly. I was so glad because the weekend had such nice weather we planned on leaving all of the windows open, with screens in place since the mosquitoes were still active. Wonderful stay although breakfast could have had more variety or quantity (our men were still a little hungry after) but I was pretty satisfied! In addition if you stay here and want to listen to music I would advise bringing your iPod with radio docking station. All in all it was great and relaxing!
