My husband and I along with friends, our children and grandchildren, and their children and grandchildren have been staying at Teeter's for 14 years. Bubbie's children and our grandchildren have grown up together. If you like southern hospitality, this is the place to be. The horses are no longer there and the campground is clean. We are retired and spend most of our time there. Bubbie, the owner and manager, is the sweetest guy in the world. Give him a call [--]. This is his cell phone where you can reach him anytime.

Loved the campground. Quite, Peaceful. Loved the horses. A great place to bring your kids or just come by yourself. Easy walking to great attractions and stores!

We stayed because it was very close to the ferry, which we wanted to take at 7:30 AM. We had our own facilities, thank goodness, because one step into the bathroom and I wouldn't go back in. The toilet tank top was off, the handle missing and required manually flushing. I would not have taken a shower in there. I don't think I'm all that picky, we camp out in the mountains all the time and travel all over the US camping. This place is just "trashy"

Where can you camp on the East Coast and rent a horse for a ride on the ocean beach? Yes, that's Teeter's Campground. The horses and campers are well cared for. No need to repeat the positives already mentioned, but very True. Only thing is beware of the full-time campers who may let their dogs roam. You can't expect the mgr Bubbie to be dog-watcher too. Never had a problem with dogs. This place is not a KOA so don't set your expectations too high. Word of caution: don't let your kids play in or near the street - that could be said for any campground.
