We had a great time, relaxing, across streat from GREAT seafood restraunt, uncrowded pool, only drawbacks, cannot view beach from motel, silverware in our upstairs apt was dirty, and dishes were dirty, (maybe housekeeping missed them) put put for kids next door. Very very economical, and ciuld take our boston terriers. would and will always return.

For $85 a night, I got someone else's head hair and pubic hair in the nasty tub that looked dirty, which also was backed up with water, a stopped up toilet, which my roommate unstopped when the staff gave him the plunger, and no remote for the television. I definitely will not come back to this establishment!

If there ever was a family, friendly, homey place to stay, it's Captain's Cove Motel. This place is great. It has everything you need to have a great beach vacation. The grounds are clean and has grills and picnic tables, you can cook out and socialize with the other guest staying there. The staff are the best. The two ladies that own it are very sweet and will take care of all your needs. I have stayed there several times throughout the years for the last three years. They are always happy to see you and make you feel welcome. The prices are great and with the economy the way it is, it's nice to be able to get away and it feel like home.

My family and I stayed at Captain's Cove in Oak Island this past summer and had a blast, now if your looking for fancy you won't find it here. the rooms are older(paneled walls, outdated decor) But they are very clean and the people that run the motel are super friendly! We started the weekend not sure if we'd like the place and finished off not wanting to leave! With a little walk down a side street to the open uncrowded beach, putt putt and a game room next door, food lion grocery a few blocks away with plenty of restarants too. I can't wait to go back this year and not have to spend an arm and leg for my family to have fun! Oh and the pool area is fenced in and too cute with the dolphin fountain the kids never wanted to leave.
