I stayed at this hotel in New Bern with my husband and son. At $190 a night for a suite, I had high expectations, but was very disappointed. The hotel is incredibly dated; it is in need of a serious update. It is an excellent location, and has good bones, but it is worn out. I am in my 40's, but found the bathroom treacherous. The suite had a garden tub with VERY high sides to it, but no grab bar to assist getting in and out of the tub. The pull out bed on the sofa was pretty dirty underneath the mattress, though the top was clean. They were supposed to have provided linens for the pull out, but there were none, and it took half an hour for the hotel to bring them to the room. The blanket for that pull out bed had some nasty stains/spots that appeared to be catsup. The carpet was stained, and the "amenities" included free popcorn in the lobby, for all of three hours a night. Why bother????? The people behind the counter were pleasant enough, but somehow the rest of the staff elicited pity from me, rather than making me feel welcome and taken care off.

In response to your comments regarding our hotel we would first like to thank you for your input. We will be immediately addressing the issue with the pull out sofa bed, garden tub, and linens. We continually reinvest in the property to improve the customer experience. In regards to the amenities, we are a limited service hotel and we are happy to provide an evening snack of popcorn for our guest. In addition we also provide high speed internet access, local gym access, continental breakfast, business center, USA Today, coffee, and an outdoor pool to all of our valued guests at no additional charge. Your comment about our pleasant staff was appreciated the most as we strive every day to provide the best service to all of our guests. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and encourage all of our past guests to provide us with their customer experience.
