I stayed here twice for 10 days at a time and loved it. The service here was great. Kim was very attentive and available at all times if I needed anything. She really went out of her way to make me feel at home when I was spending so much time away from home for work. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to use the amenities that were available to me but had I not been working every day that I was here I am sure I would have played some tennis or gone for one of the fitness walks around the marina. There is so much available in the amenities package that if given the time I'm sure I would have enjoyed. I was able to eat in most nights thanks to the refrigerator and stove and was able to wash clothes to avoid dealing with it when returning from my trip. Overall both of my stays were great and I would certainly return here if I were to come back to the area.

My Husband and I stayed at the Broad Creek Guest Quarters, along with other family members who rented several of the other rooms.
Each room was different and cozy. The service from Kim and her staff was excellcent, The rooms had everything you and a family could possibly need or want. It was within walking distance from the harbour and their were also some great walking paths around the complex. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, small gym, you can rent bikes as well. This is not to be missed so much charm .

We booked a stay at Broad Creek Guest Quarters based on other TripAdvisor reviews. We were traveling with our dog and were house hunting in the New Bern area. Broad Creek has been taken over by a new owner, Kim, who was extremely helpful and accomodating. We liked being close to New Bern and enjoyed eating at Capt. Rattys. The surroundings at Broad Creek are beautiful, we stayed for a long weekend and didn't even have time to try the walking trails or visit the lake. Although our room was small, it was clean and met our needs. Breakfast was ample and overall, we look forward to returning. The best part was the fact that it's dog friendly. We left our retriever in a crate in our room while we went to dinner in New Bern. Another day, we called Kim and asked her to clean our room later than usual, so that we could leave the dog and go to IHOP for breakfast. We never met Peg and Harold but it seems like Kim is following in their gracious footsteps.

From the moment I arrived at Broad Creek Guest Quarters, I knew that this would be the best bed and breakfast experience I have ever had. No one could have been a friendlier host than the owner Peg. She graciously met me at my vehicle, escorting me to the Compass Rose where I would be staying. She showed me all the extra amenities that this room offers, while answering any questions that I had. I felt like royalty. All my needs were exceeded, and I could not imagine that my experience could get any better. I have stayed in other Bed and Breakfast Inns across the Northeast and in the South. Although those experiences were pleasant, nothing compared to the comfort and delight that I experienced at Broad Creek Guest Quarters. Harold, the other magnanimous owner, brought me my fresh and delicious breakfast which I was able to enjoy at my very own breakfast nook. The room was spotless. The decor was pure perfection. The wicker furniture was comfortable and beyond cute. The comfy bed gave me the best night of sleep that I have ever had away from my very own bed. Besides being treated like royalty and being surrounded by utter comfort, the facility was high tech. I could watch this flat screen television from any part of the room, and using the wireless internet was truly convenient. Both my laptop and iPod Touch worked well with the high speed connection. Everything I could think of was provided for me. I was also able to take advantage of the facilities outside of my room. The swimming pool was divine and walking along the marina was sublime. I cannot express in words how picturesque it is, not to mention how clean it is. I felt safe and part of a friendly community during my stay. This part of the experience was a great advantage over staying downtown or at some local motel chain. I cannot thank Peg and Harold enough for what I experienced while staying at Broad Creek Guest Quarters. I cannot recommend any bed and breakfast more highly. If one is traveling to the historic area of New Bern, one would miss out on utter comfort by not staying at Broad Creek Guest Quarters.
